Andrea Willis has never been close with anyone in her family but her mother. Her cousins Alexandra and Allie just werenât people she spent time with. She did when she was a little kid and her mum and their dad would bring the kids all together for play dates and shit like that but the older she got, the more Andi just didnât connect with them and she liked to spend time alone. She was quite a moody sort of girl, a loner. She was practically best friends with her mum though, it was always just the two of them her whole life. Her mother raised Andrea all on her own and the two of them just had the best relationship Andi could ask for. Yes, they had the normal growing pains but she loved her mother and the woman was always there,
Despite being a loner type, Andi did have friends in school. The goth kids and the rebels were her usual go-toâs and she kind of drifted between groups and people. She did have a best friend in Ashlynn Peterson though. The girl who lived a street over from her and the two of them growing up were always getting up to something together, joined at the hip and just having fun. Andrea did not like Annie Pierce and she made no secret of it, butting heads with the self-proclaimed Queen Bee of Baberton High. Annie, of course, usually hit back. Eventually, she and Ashlynn had this massive falling out, it was pretty explosive and Andi completely disowned her. The reason for the fallout was Annie Pierceâs friends whispering in Andreaâs ear and turning the two girls against each other. She doesnât know it was all bullshit and she holds a grudge against Ash to this day.
Andrea hates living in Baberton. If her mother didnât love their home so much, sheâd have been out of here the moment she finished school. She didnât bother with college or university - studying and classrooms had never been for her. Andrea got herself a job at a local cafe, called The Hot Spot and she works there full time now. She doesnât always enjoy it and some days she fakes being sick so she doesnât have to work, but she likes the money and she likes being able to help her mother with bills and stuff now. Itâs still just the two of them, living in the flat she grew up in, and Andi wouldnât really have it any other way. Most people want to move out by eighteen but Andrea doesnât mind in the slightest because as well as mother and daughter theyâre also just great friends. Sheâs in no big rush.
Back in high school, Andrea had much less control over her anger than she does now. She let it get the best of her. So, after her falling out with Ashlynn, she was beyond furious. On her way home from school one winter night, she spotted Ash some way ahead of her. Something just took over Andi and she rushed at the other girl, shoving her hard from behind. When Ash was down, she didnât stop, she started to kick her, just completely seeing red. She grabbed her bag and ran off with it when she was finished, to make it look like a robbery. She felt sick with guilt after she calmed down. Andrea hid the bag in the back of her bedroom wardrobe, where it still is to this day, pushed down under a pile of random stuff.
Had to go onto medication when she was twenty-one, to help her with her mood swings and her anger issues. They were so out of control and she would get violent sometimes. Sheâs much mellower now as long as she sticks to her dosages but she doesnât want anybody to know because it just makes her feel like a complete freak.
