Voting History 2016
So I want to be as transparent as possible to who ever wanted to know more about where I stood on the issues and who I actually am. Of course the election is over, which has caused mass anger to those who are on the losing side of the coin. I am angry as well for how divided our country has become even if Hillary would of won instead the divided country would stay the same. I am optimistic for the future and trust the american voter leading to me to give our new president Donald Trump a chance to prove if he can make America great again. I don’t believe any politician will change my life, only I can do that.
Location: San Bernardino, California 2016
President: Gary Johnson (L)
Reason: I am not proud for voting for a politically correct man who didn’t know any foreign leaders to admire. None of the two main party candidates earned my vote. Since I have the luxury not to be pressured to vote for either since I live in a predominantly democrat state. I decided to protest my vote and stand by my principles even if the man I voted for didn’t deserve it.
Senate: Loretta Sanchez (D)
Reason: Another benefit of living in a democrat state, I have the choice of voting for two candidates who don’t represent my values at all. So I voted for a person who isn’t supported by the party I despised.
Congress: Paul Chabot (R)
Reason: I hate the typical politician who stays most of his time at the capital pretending to represent us only to get ahead for their political career. That’s why I chose Paul. Their is few issues I share with Paul but at least he actually recognizes our area needs to change and is offering something.
State Assembly: Cheryl Brown (D)
Reason: Another case of two terrible candidates. I personally do not like the other candidate Cheryl is running against a woman that is in my personal opinion that is corrupt trying to benefit herself only.
San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water district Board of Directors: Andrew Evans (I)
Reason: Yes that’s right, am running !! Just Kidding. I didn’t know or care for any information of the candidates running and I wasn’t going to just pick a name that sounded cool.
Prop 51 Public School Facility Bonds: No
Reason: Wasteful spending that will add to our increasing debt of our money for schools that might not see it the money isn’t logical in my mind.
Prop 52 Continued Hospital Fee Revenue Dedicated to Medi-Cal Unless Voters Approve Changes: No
Reason: I don’t believe its fair to charge additional fees to the health care problem that continues to get worse the more money we artificially put in it. (Government putting more money in the health care system)
Prop 53 Voter Approval Requirement for Revenue Bonds above $2 Billion: Yes
Reason: I like power being distributed to the people. The idea that these career politician should control every aspect of our life isn’t right in my opinion.
Prop 54 Public Display of Legislative Bills Prior to Vote: Yes
Reason: Transparency is something I truly appreciate in everyone, so of course I am voting yes no matter how much the democratic party doesn’t want me their are doing in Sacramento.
Prop 55 Extension of the Proposition 30 Income Tax Increase: No
Reason: Increasing taxes won’t help solve the inefficiencies of goverment.
Prop 56 Tobacco Tax Increase: No
Reason: We shouldn’t be choosing winners and losers in a economy because we don’t like them or we feel it might help them. This will set a motion to give politicians more control of what we can consume.
Prop 57 Parole for Non-Violent Criminals and Juvenile Court Trial Requirements: No
Reason: Some people just need to be sent to jail. How will their learn without suffering ?
Prop 58 Non-English Languages Allowed in Public Education: Yes
Reason: I want kids not be idiotic and only know one language. Kids need to become more competitive in the market place to get the higher paying jobs they always want. I know some of my friends disagree but I’ll admit am wrong if it fails.
Prop 59 Overturn of Citizens United Act Advisory Question:Yes
Reason: I dislike Politicians with a passion and sucking their oxygen would be my pleasure
Prop 60 Condoms in Pornographic Films: No
Reason: We have better things to do than police the porn industry.
Prop 61 Drug Price Standards: Yes
Reason: I’ll admit this goes against everything I believe in, but it would be funny to see the medical field under melt down.
Prop 62 Repeal of the Death Penalty: Yes
Reason: I’ll admit I made a mistake and I accidentally voted yes instead of no. People just need to die for the crimes they committed.
Prop 63 Background Checks for Ammunition Purchases and Large-Capacity Ammunition Magazine Ban: No
Reason: I think people are the problem not guns. This will only stop law abiding citizens.
Prop 64 Marijuana Legalization: Yes
Reason: Government shouldn’t be dictating what we can do in our day to day life.
Prop 65 Dedication of Revenue from Disposable Bag Sales to Wildlife Conservation Fund: No
Reason: This is a front to get more of money to spend wastefully to causes I don’t believe in.
Prop 66 Death Penalty Procedures: Yes
Reason: I am tried after these killers after years of sitting on their ass not punish for their horrific crime. Its common sense and saves the tax payer a considerable amount in the appeal process.
Prop 67 Plastic Bag Ban Veto Referendum: No
Reason: Again the goverment shouldn’t be artificially changing the market for the so called common good. This will only hurt the poorest of our great state.
Local Measures:Measure L City Charter: Yes
Reason: I am tried of the same BS system that hasn't help our city in its darkest hour. Am ready for a standard that most other cities run by.
Measure N Medical Cannabis Restrictions and Limitations: Yes
Reason: Seems the most reasonable and least regulated. preferably would of have less regulations than what most of these bills required.
Measure O San Bernardino Marijuana Regulation: No
Reason: It just had too many regulation for me to sign on to. $5 per square foot of canopy is just pushing it.
Measure P San Bernardino Commercial Cannabis Regulation: No
Reason: This only was the bill that politicians wanted to take control of regulation and change it when ever they feel like it.
