Periodic Table of ARIA 1.0 Roles

The Periodic Table of ARIA 1.0 Roles by Dylan Barrell is useful for developers looking to include ARIA in their HTML. Accessible to both keyboard and screen reader users, the app groups roles together by category: forms, document sections, interactive elements, tabular data, text-level semantics and embedding content. This great for looking up roles at a glance and quickly gathering information. Clicking a role to open a popup with more details is definitely easier for most people to digest than the lengthy ARIA spec.

There is an option to change the theme between solid colors and patterns, which might be better for some users. There is also a note about roles having dashes in them in the app, but not in actual usage. Take care to spell roles correctly, otherwise they won’t map to Accessibility APIs!
