Andrew was having his coffee in the living room while he was studying some papers that were in front of him. His head was hurting but it was something that needed to be done. He didn’t know how long the man was sitting there but at some point he felt his brain would explode. “nope” he said to himself. “Not today, it’s not happening. No. Bye” he said as he placed the papers next to him. Standing up, he walked to the kitchen, wanted to make some more coffee when he saw Scarlett was already there. “Oh!’ the man said with a chuckle. “You walk like a cat, I didn’t even heard you” he confessed. “If my ass was like Jeffrey i’d use the old card now” he joked.

There was this thought playing on his mind for days. Weeks even, to be specific. He was not sure how this night would go, there were a lot of things in his head but Andrew didn’t know how to deal with the whole situation. He took a few days off work, he deserved it after all, to be honest. After putting on his jacket, the man grabbed the keys of his car and made his way to it. The destination was close, he was there within minutes. When he arrived, the man got out and locked the car behind him. He walked to the door and before knocking, Andrew took a breath. How was he going to start the whole conversation? So many questions were on his head but the man shook them off. He raised his arm and knocked a couple of times, waiting for Scarlett to open. She didn’t know he was going but he hoped he was welcomed.

Dear, __ I want you to know that I moved to the states.  It was impossible for me to stay in the same place you were, the memories were not allowing me to think clearly.  Everywhere I’d turn, everywhere I’d look, all I could see was your face and that was driving crazy. That was not a lifestyle, I was going to lose my mind if that continued.  I was not being myself.  I couldn’t trust anyone after what happened.  I pushed people away, I focused on my job and every thought that I had I kept it for myself. No, that was not going to continue.  I couldn’t let that happen. Everything was a blur inside my head.  So many questions. How? Why? How could you... I--I should not continue with the questions, there is no reason to do this to myself. The thing is that I’m away, in a new place with new people.  A place where I can start from the beginning, with a clear head and focus on myself too.  I am not coming back. There is no reason to.  I am leaving everything behind. It’s a new start for me. I need this. I went through a lot it’s time to change it. Time for a new chapter. I am going to be okay, I believe in me. I am a tough man.  The memories will still be in my head but that’s what I plan to keep them as; memories.  I’m closing that chapter.  I went through a lot because of it.  A new life awaits me now.  And to be honest, I’m excited about it.
