No-drill custom Hot Wheels 1985 Honda City Turbo II, has had the wing cut off the body, satin black paint with flat black power bulges, detailed lights & straight pipe, satin silver wheels, and smoke-tinted sunroof and side/rear glass with pillars detailed. Eventually I'll add accurate decals & license plates.

Custom 1/64 scale 1937 GMC T-70 railroad maintenance/service truck, based on a Hartoy/American Highway Legends Firestone Tires stakebed, and has scratchbuilt rear bumper, hoist/crane, welding tanks, gasoline/diesel transfer tank, and tool and storage boxes, in addition to painted & detailed wheels, a Greenlight trailer hitch, and a thorough detampo. I love working with these Hartoy/AHL big rigs, and they are very easy to work with as well as (usually) pretty affordable. At some point I plan on adding S-scale railroad bogie wheels to it along with Southern Pacific Railroad logos to give it the full effect.

Circa 1955 SSS Japan “Tiny Giant Series” 1/32 scale tinplate BMW 501 “Baroque Angel” 4-door luxury sedan. This toy was gifted to me by a good friend, whose now-deceased parents purchased it new for his older brother, and it spent probably 50 years in an attic until it was given to me. While this isn’t the most pristine tinplate toy car, and the friction motor no longer operates, it’s a remarkable survivor, and is one of the nicest ones I’ve seen counting the numerous even more beat-up, incomplete examples on the internet.

Customized Hot Wheels “Quick Bite” food truck with Greenlight trailer hitch, Johnny Lightning wheels/axles, and a smoker/grill trailer scratchbuilt on top of a Johnny Lightning boat trailer. One pic shows it fully set up with a mostly scrounged &/or improvised (except for Bachmann/Plasticville trash cans and picnic tables) foodservice setup. Eventually I plan on building a portable beer tap trailer to go behind this

Custom M2 Machines 1969 Ford F250 Contractor Special beater work truck, with scratchbuilt toolbox, pipe rack and Gott 5-gallon water cooler, Greenlight spare tire, trailer hitch & ladder rack, and extensive patina hand-painted using Vallejo acrylic weathering paints in the small plastic vials from a hobby store. Door and hood hinges have also been carefully loosened and bent to look like almost 50-year-old worn hinges on a real truck, and the interior and engine have also been weathered, but are hard to photograph.

Custom diecast of a 1920s Federal 2 1/2-ton flatbed truck, made from a thrift store find of a vintage Chevron gas station promotional toy. Took quite a bit of hunting to figure out what kind of truck this casting is supposed to represent, ultimately got it down to 3 candidates, those being Fageol, International and Federal, after 20 minutes or so on Google Images I narrowed it down to being a circa 1924-28 Federal “deuce and a half” with a typical simple wood and steel open cab as typically fitted to trucks of this era. The bed of this custom is made of basswood craft/hobby lumber cut, glued and fit together, then painted before going onto the basic casting.

Custom 1/64 scale 1968 Chevy C30 tow truck, somewhat similar to Cooter’s tow truck from the classic TV series version of “The Dukes of Hazzard”, cab and frame are from a Greenlight diecast, bed and tow boom are from an M2 Machines 1972 Ford tow truck diecast.

Custom 1/64 scale M2 Machines Ford C600 pumper fire engine. Fire engine body is off of a “Showcasts” cheapie pullback toy fire truck found at a thrift store, and has been detailed somewhat, frame is a custom wood piece with front & rear chassis clips from the original M2 casting permanently attached underneath and the M2 cab and Showcasts pumper body permanently connected.
