The ship sends back information to the Earth during the journey. So Stratt and her team know that Yao and Ilyukhina have died.

They realize, that without knowing his name, Grace won't be able to enter the cockpit. Besides they did not leave any laptop with information about how the ship works and what is the goal of the mission.

So they can spend the next circa 20 years hoping that Grace doesn't die and the drug works as intended. And of course, after he gets back his memories he doesn't try to sabotage the mission and can solve alone the Petrova problem.

What Stratt expected from Grace after the accident:

Soo I rewatched Fall guy. And if I had a nickel every time when Ryan Gosling wears a yellow jacket, Nasa uniform in a movie, and has long hair at the beginning, I would have two nickels.. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Plus they drugged his character at one point in Fall Guy.
