I was always on the Internet. There’s not much to do when you’re an only child, you can’t really have friends over (your mom works nights), and the only way you can play outside is if your grandma is with you (LAME).

It really was like exploring. You would go from a cartoon to weird censorship laws in Japan to bizarre Internet things. Lots of information. Lots of reading. (I also read a lot of books IRL too… I went to the library a lot >_>). I have childhood memories of reading the fuck out of Hitoshi Doi’s page, idk. I lurked forums all the time. I felt really out of place in my family.

These past few months— Welcome to the NHK-lite, essentially :/ (or the last ep of the Tatami Galaxy, take your pick) I went very very deep inside my head (and reddit). I became a brain in a jar.

I always used to think I was an alien, or a robot, or something.

Turns out I’m just, idk, human, and so is my family.

I have a body made of flesh and a need to interact with people, and that’s ok.
