Leaving || Marceline & Andromeda
The blonde looked the other witch over carefully before nodding. āY-yeah, I a-am.ā She mumbled quietly, folding a shirt and tucking it into her trunk. The quicker she packed her things, the quicker she could get out of the castle. Turning her gaze back to her things, she thought about the appropriate way to answer Andromedaās question, how to make the older woman back down from trying to get her to stay. āTh-theyāll know I l-left on m-my own, I-I-Iāve m-made it c-c-clear that I d-d-donāt b-belong here a-any l-l-longer and th-that I w-want to r-return h-h-home. Th-theyāll be s-safer w-without m-m-me around to p-pull my wand o-o-on th-them, or a-a-attack th-them when I-Iām sc-scared. Y-you l-love Sirius, right? W-w-well Iāve h-hurt h-him more t-t-times th-than I c-can c-count, in w-ways that I c-canāt m-make up for. A-and I d-donāt want to h-hurt any m-more people.ā
Running away was something Andromeda was familiar with. She knew of the consequences, knew how there always seemed to be a longing to stay. And even though this was different, much different, she related to the younger girl. Things were completely opposite, though: the people Marceline was trying to get away from were good for her, whereas the people Andromeda had gotten away from had been bad for her. "If you had hurt Sirius, I would have heard, believe me. He's a drama queen like that," she said, letting out a small chuckle. "All I have heard about you from Sirius is positive - he very obviously cares about you and knowing him, he'll not be much happier with you leaving. A lot of people he knows have gone missing already, y'know. This is supposed to be a selfless action, right? To be honest, I think you will hurt people more by leaving than by staying."
