The Cloud That Travels Between Two Worlds
There's something profoundly beautiful about tattooing someone who's about to leave.
She sat in my chair today—a traveler from America, her suitcase probably already packed, her heart heavy with the weight of goodbye. Korea had given her something she didn't expect: a sense of belonging, even as a stranger.
"I want to take Korea with me," she said softly.
So we created clouds. Not just any clouds, but traditional Korean clouds—the kind you see in ancient paintings, flowing and eternal, carrying wishes and dreams across the sky.
I watched the ink settle into her skin, permanent and perfect. This wasn't just a tattoo. This was a promise she made to herself: that no matter how far she travels, no matter how much time passes, Korea would always be with her.
And then I noticed it—a tiny sparkle tattoo next to where we were working, faded almost to invisibility. Without asking, I touched it up. Brought it back to life. Because if you're going to carry memories, they should shine, right?
When she looked at her wrist—both tattoos now vibrant and alive—her eyes welled up.
"Thank you for making my memories permanent."
That's what I do. I don't just create tattoos. I create time capsules. Love letters to moments that deserve to last forever.
If you're traveling through Korea, or if you're a local with a story to tell, come sit in my chair. Let's turn your feelings into art, your memories into something you can touch.
Because the best souvenirs aren't things you buy.
They're things you become.
