I will never forget the 4°C bitterly cold morning in a village on a beautiful mountain when the sun rose together with a vast sea of cloud ocean right in front of my eyes. Embrace guys, this is Ta Xua, the floating sea of clouds! For a moment I'm turned silent, hoping fervently that the awesome sight I was beholding would last longer. Heaven never felt closer to me! . Since Ta Xua is a quite new travel destination among foreign tourists, so I want to share some of my experience to travel here recently. Ta Xua is a range of mountains in Bac Yen, District of Son La province, lying in the north of Vietnam and around 240km from Hanoi heading to Laos. It forms a natural border between the two province Yen Bai and Son La. The highest peak in Ta Xua in 2865m. The three mountain tops form a line which looks like the rough back of a dinasour. That's why this place also called "dinasour backbone". . Trekking here used to be the real challenge. However, the route to dinasour backbone has become much more easily accessible, thanks to the construction of a new routes leading quite close to one of the mountains. During my trip recently, I only had to trek for around 2km. We can also hire local people to bring us ride on there, but its not recommended because of high risk to falls down. Hehehe . Ta Xua is most popular for a special phenomenon around its mountains, the formation of thick clouds, making travelers feel like standing right in heaven. . HOW TO GET TO TA XUA? . Getting here is quite difficult. Before I get to here, I was stay in Sapa. So, from Sapa, I take a bus to Lao Cai, (1 hour) and then I take a bus to Son La. (8 hours) from Son La, I take a bus to Phu Yen, (4 hours) and from Phu Yen, I book a 'xe om' (motorbike taxi) for a quite long distance to Ta Xua (1 hour), and in this village there is only one hostel for travelers to stay. Quite cheap, only VND 60K per night. . *** If you from Hanoi, you can take a bus to Son La, and the
