fight for the Rebellion

fight for your life. in this world you play as a wolf shape that doesn't remember anything about their past. help the Rebellion take back Paradise and free the captured. be wary, as a new Corruption has taken hold, one that cannot be cured. please dont try to add things from outside of jsab, interact with the world using an oc, or attempt to use powers. this is not a rp blog, your ask will get ignored. the only time you will be allowed to use magic is if a character gives you an item.(Catch up views story posts chronologically, if you suspect something is missing, please notify me and i will do my best to correct it) (Rebellion IDs are the references for the characters)

im going to make a post about this issue to explain it, mostly because i didnt explain it that well in my description.

I've been getting a couple asks where people are trying to use powers and people from other games, so I'm going to try and nip this issue at the bud.

you have a host. this means you can only interact through them. you cant summon in other people

your host has no magic other than puppy eyes. this means you cannot use powers or weapons beyond what the characters/story give you.

the only shapes who are facing you out of malice are certain pure flowers, and you be able to tell who they are as i am going to find a way to display who is mind controlled and who isnt. there will be consequences for harming/killing innocents, so be sure to think out your decisions and always try to do no harm.

an update

im just going to come out and say this. i cant work on my askblogs right now. school and work is exhausting me and for the past few weeks ive been getting next to no sleep. i dont know when i will be able to return. just know that i havent stopped thinking about my askblogs, and i feel guilty for not letting you all know sooner.

well the one person who voted(i know who you are and i love you) has decided that this blog will restart, with the old story being deleted. i am going to take a break in order to complete the rest of the redesigns and plot the story instead of just planning what's happening on the fly. when i come back the characters will be better, and the story more thought out.

backstory:

Kelp’s original design is what the mers call a “land walker” they’re basically mers that can switch between shape legs and a mer tail. they consider these mers “cursed”, and are shunned from society. the reason he was allowed back is because the mers were also a target of the purists/loyalists and they needed outside help. 

his new design is also shunned because of him being amphibious, but as fast as a fish mer. normally amphibious mers are slower, a small price for being able to live in both land and sea, so him being just as fast was regarded as bad luck. overall both his designs have the same backstory, just for different reasons.

capture:

an underwater distress beacon was discovered, and there being only three members in the rebellion (he was the last rebel to be captured before the events of the blog) he was desperate for new members. so he went on the mission, but it was too late. the mer who was in distress had been infected, and quickly caught him and brought him to the base, where he was experimented on, but with no results, they just infected him.

How did you originally start it?

the original promo post was Kelp pacing, looking worried. when asks where sent, he would panic, telling the askers to get as far away from there as they could. if the askers were able to pressure him enough, he would tell them that they would find they were there, and use him to kill them. 

Kelp was originally partly immune to the mind control, he couldn't disobey orders and they could take him over completely if they focused on him.

Who started the war?

an oc that's still in the works. the only thing i can be sure of is that they will be pure and no monstra features. they started it because they thought that shapes with monstra features are “evil” because they have more power. also some of their prejudice against corrupted. 

they proposed the idea and quickly gained support and followers from like-minded people. the made the first move during the unity festival, but were quickly driven back, and then they got the idea to mind control. hence the start of the war for monstra freedom.

m8 the entire point of the story is that all the askers must collaborate together on decisions in order to save the world because you only have one body. you have no powers beyond what the characters give you.

right now you have the ability to see where Flie (the helicopter) is and thats it.
