"My little darlin' is a firecracker.." Angel was sitting at the fire, playing a guitar and singing a country song she liked, having a blast.
Stop that!
"Oh, alright. No use in pressuring you." Mary held out her hand and took the bracelets from Angel. The personalized letters making them even more meaningful. "Can you help me put it on?" She held out her right wrist. She extended out her other hand in which she held the three bracelets. "You know, Iâm clashing with my outfits just for you. If that doesnât show how much I care I donât know what does. "
"I donât care if Mia complains. Iâll wear earplugs or something." Mary waved it off. "I know you will. Youâre Angel Madison. Screw all those nonbelievers. People have had their dreams crushed so they want to crush others too."Â
Angel nodded, and helped Mary put on the bracelets she had made. She just had to find Mia and Beth now. "I love you, too!" She hugged Mary tightly, kissing her cheek. When she pulled back, she looked at Mary more seriously. "Okay..so pretend you were really confused about something. Like, really confused. It would be a thing, you know? And you know it's okay and there's nothing wrong, but..it still confuses you because it's you not anyone else, and it's weird and you're not sure if it's who you are of if it's really a thing, you know? And there's no real reason to be scared to come forward or something about it, but it's intimidating."
"Then you can't hear when I catch the snitch! You're going to be great, too. It'll be a thing!"
"Thatâs alright." Iâm used to people not knowing my name, he thought. He tended to know a lot more peopleâs names because he was very observant."Iâm Brayson."
"It's nice to meet you, Brayson! What year are you in? Are you in any clubs or sports?"
"No one should be giving you weird looks, thatâs for sure." Heâd seen this girl around many times during his years at Hogwarts but had never really made an effort to speak to her. Not that he made much of an effort for anyone, usually ending up making a fool of himself in some way. "Angel, right?"
"People do all the time. It's a thing." Angel nodded in confirmation. "That's me! I wish I could say I knew your name, but I don't, but I don't really know many people's names that I haven't spoken to, you know?"
"Okay, woah. Iâm not trying to drug her! Oh god, please donât make a potion and give to it Mia, what if she dies?" Louise thought about it for a second. "Weâre friends." Louise smiled, listening patiently until Angel was done rambling. "Umm. Itâs complicated Angel. But your my friend, so Iâll tell you. I actually have a huge crush on her. But, I just want to keep my distance. I feel bad- sheâs straight."Â
Louiseâs head bobbed down into the water. She manuevered herself so that she flipped Angel over, and was on top of her. âTake that, Madison!âÂ
Angel just laughed and nudged Louise with her shoulder. "I'm not going to drug her! Besides, I wouldn't give my potions to even the people I don't like." When Louise admitted she had a crush on Mary, she smiled widely. "If she wasn't my best friend, I might have a crush on her, too. But she's like a sister like Avery. She's amazing, huh? And I don't know..Mia seems to think differently. Maybe Mia's wrong. Maybe you're wrong. Or maybe I'm wrong But you should tell her. What if you don't and she kisses another girl? Because she is? Or maybe she's not. But if she's not, it could be worse. Like..she could be into girls and just not into you, you know? I don't like 'what if' questions. And maybe she's..confused. I get being confused...it's kinda a thing. Oh!" Angel smiled. "I could talk to her! Not about this or you, of course. I ramble, but I'm not that bad. Just..." She chewed her lip for a moment. "About me?" Not something she ordinarily would of done, but what if Mary really was struggling? Then she'd have a struggle buddy, and she'd be able to help her friend. And maybe Mary liked Louise. And if that wasn't the case, she had another friend who would support her.
Angel held her breath as she went under, squirming away and coming back up to splash her. "You're taller! Not fair!" She shouted over the water as she laughed.
Stop that!
Mary finished gathering all her stuff for her next class and waited for her friend to finish talking. She learned over the years it was the best thing to do. Thanks to Angel she had grown patient. âNo, Angel. Wedges are a type of shoe. You should really join fashion club so I make sense to you. Anyway, do I get a friendship bracelet?â Mary asked.Â
"I will drag Mia by one ear and El will help me do so." Mary gave Angel her brightest smile. She loved how Angel lit up when she spoke of Quidditch.Â
"Thanks, but I like my shoes; I can run in them. And I'm a klutz when I'm not on my broom, so it would probably be a bad idea. And I don't have the patience to sit and learn about fashion things." It was like a lightbulb went off in her head, and she grinned, reaching into her bag. She pulled out identical ones to her own - the difference being Angel's had an 'A' in her Hufflepuff one and Mary had an 'M' in her Ravenclaw one. "You wear them all on one wrist except your House colours. Those you wear on another one! Or your ankle. Everyone has them!" Honestly, she had started making them during their sophomore year, but had only just gotten the last one done recently.
"I think Mia would complain, but it'd be funny to watch you and Beth do that. Avery will be there, too! I'm going to win my first game, you know. Catch the snitch and prove everyone wrong who told me I shouldn't waste me time on a far fetched dream and should be improving my grades to do something worth my time." They all said it, but it didn't deter Angel from the dream she knew she'd achieve.
Tardy as Usual || Angel & Ama
"So then why are you here?" Ama turned to the girl. She raised her eyebrow awaiting a response. She flinched a little when the girlâs volume increased. "I wonât give up. I donât give up. Thatâs why Iâm still on the Quidditch team." She explained to the girl. "But good luck to you. Iâm sure youâll be a great seeker one day."
Potions was Amaâs best subject. She didnât understand how Angel struggled so much with it. Perhaps it was her own ignorance. âThereâs multiple ways of doing something. Iâll help you, okay? Well, if you want the help.â She returned to her book.Â
"I'm here because I was told I needed a tutor and I do and I really do need to get better than passing by grades." Angel's hooked ankles swung back and forth as she sat there. Quidditch and tutoring are two different things, though. For one, quidditch is fun and not much of a chore, even if it's difficult sometimes. Well, maybe for the chasers and beaters. I'm lucky! I just get to fly fast and catch a ball."
"I guess I want the help, yeah. But does it have to be in this stuffy library?" The thing with Angel, was that she was easily distracted, so studying in high traffic areas wasn't a good idea, but in a place as quiet as a library, her concentration was tested because it left her bored. "Couldn't it be somewhere fun like outside on the grass or on a roof?"
Im not that smart  really I just like to study and learn new things and I like flying to just not as much as you do . Are you on the Quidditch team?Â
I don't really have the patience for studying.
I am! Seeker for the Hufflepuff varsity team. I'm going to be a famous seeker one day, you know! It'll be a thing.
Brayson jumped slightly when the girl actually noticed, chuckling slightly at how easily he could be scared. âHey. Sorry if that wasâŠcreepy or something. Youâre just really good.â
"It's not creepy! A lot of people stare at me when I'ms inging or dancing and sometimes it's weird looks, though I don't really mind. It's a thing. I do it so often, some don't even notice, anymore." She smiled widey up at the Wizard.
He walked up when he heard her singing, leaning against the wall and listening to her as she continued. It was always nice to listen and watch someone in their element, and he could tell that music was hers.
.Â
Angel didn't even notice anyone was watching her. She continued to sing and dance to herself until she did notice the Ravenclaw, and she waved at him with a grin. "Hi!"
"I have a curfew because I have a scholarship, they expect me to set the example or blahâŠblah..blahhh" Talia said with a joking look in her eye.
Angel laughed and scrunched her face. "I'm Angel, by the way! And you must be really smart, then. I just don't like studying. I like flying, though. It's a thing."
"Mia really needs to let go of those books for a day, doesnât she?" Louise suddenly got really sad. Just the other day, she walked away from Mary after feeling bad about liking her. She licked her lips, unsure of what to say. "Umm. I donât think so, Angel. How about you, me, and mia?"Â
When they reached the pool, Louise threw off her clothes and jumped right into the water. She came back up to surface, looking for Angel.Â
"Oh! We could slip her a pepperup potion! Or an energy drink - that's a muggle thing. But I'm no good at potions, so you'd have to make it." Angel giggled, which faded away at Louise's reaction. "Do you not like Mary? I thought you two got along. I think that's what Mia said, anyways. That you two hung out. Oh! Mayeb you got into a fight. Which isn't good, even though friends fight sometimes. You should say sorry even if it wasn't your fault, because then she'll say sorry, and you guys can hug and it'll be okay again! I don't like my friends fighting at all. Or maybe you two were never friends and Mia was wrong. That could be a thing, too. How come you don't want to hang out with Mary?"
Angel was in right behind Louise and ended up surfacing behind her, grinning. "Going under!" She placed her hands on her friends' shoulders and lifted her weight onto them, with admittedly wasn't much. And, of course, Angel hadn't bothered to take her shorts off. Or her shirt.
"I totally think the same way, I hate that there is a curfew it's totally cramps all the cool adventures I could be having ya know" Talia said this with a huge grin of friendlinessÂ
"Who said anything babout curfew?" She scrunched her face. "I meant flying on my broom in the halls. It's a thing I do."
Louise was picky when it came to clothes, and took forever to pick things that she felt suited her. âOh right. That must have been nice for you, Ms. Spontaneous.â She smiled. âMia would literally kill you if you tryed to pull anything like that! Good thing you didnât.â Louise went silent went Angel mentioned Mary. âUh.. Iâm not sure.â Louise said quickly. âWhatever, lets go get yours stuff?âÂ
"I think we should hide all of Mia's books for a day! Then take her out somewhere fun! And Mary should come, too, I think!"
Angel hurried to grab a pair of denim shorts and a baggy shirt, changing into her bathing suit underneath, then grabbing Louise's hand and tugging her towards the pool.
Talia grinned at the girl coming towards her, she moved out of the way so she would not collide with this girl, she then started to sing back to her.
"We ditch the whole scene and end up dreaming Instead of sleeping. Yeah, Weâre happy, free, confused, and lonely in the best way Itâs miserable and magical. Oh, yeah,Oh Yeah,Ohhhhhhhhhh Yeahhhhhh *she belts a note so loud you can hear the echo*
Angel continued to sing, hovering on her broom while sitting sideways on it. Until she heard a teacher's voice, and stopped, jumping off her broom and grabbing the other Witch's hand, tugging her into an empty classroom, giggling.
"Sorry! If I get caught by that professor once more, they'll give me a week's worth detention for flying in the halls, and possibly take away my broom privileges. It's not a fun thing. At all. It shouldn't even be a thing, you know? That's what I think."
Stop that!
"Well, you can wear wedges. They offer a lot of support and itâs normally easy to run in them.â Mary offered to her friend. âOh, yeah. You do. Iâve noticed that thinking about it. Anyway, statement jewelry is something you can wear to stand out. Itâs those large necklaces or bulky rings.â Mary laughed at her friend. She had told her the same thing multiple times. âI do know, Angel. And youâre going to kick so much butt itâs ridiculous.â
"Wedges? Aren't those a type of fry? I don't like them very much. You can't get the right crunchy to soft ratio. Why would anyone want to run on potatoes, anyways?" She made a playful face at her friend. "But I already stand out, so I don't really need that stuff. Just our hand made friendship bracelets I made us!" She held out her wrist to show three bracelets made of yarn and woven in an intricate pattern by hand. One was green and silver, another red and yellow and the third blue and bronze; she wore them always, even if her friends didn't. Of course, she was in Hufflepuff, so that one was on her other wrist or ankle depending.
"I'm goin to kick all the butt! And you guys will get front seats. Even Mia, because she'll have to put the books down to come watch me play!"
