Inner Space. The more I build worlds in VR, the more I contemplate inner space and the workings of the brain. Tech advancements are phenomenal, but tech itself wonāt save us. I consider myself a feminist, and I even flew all the way to DC from Bucaramanga in Colombia just to attend the historic Womenās March in 2016. And whilst I support the rise of the global sisterhood, I do not envision the future as female. When I think about futures, I think about collaboration. The future is beyond gender - not meaning we need to exterminate gender, but that we need to cease being defined by it. On our visit to the remote Indian Himalayan region of Ladakh, collaboration was very much in full force, as villagers came together to discuss ideas for developing sustainable tourism such as by opening their homes to travellers as home-stay experiences, and helping to preserve the mystical snow leopard through ecological tourism. The best Indian breakfast I ever ate was cooked by hand by this young mother in her Rajasthani hut. Everything she needed was within armās reach, and she adjusted her stoveās heat by adding or removing twigs by hand. All while dressed, well, like an angel. The dangerous part is if we, in the West, romanticize with this simplicity. How long did she walk barefoot in the sweltering Indian sun for basic necessities such as water and wood? How is the familyās impacted by daily fire smoke inhalation? What ever happened to her 4yo daughterās infected leg wound when the family couldnāt afford basic hygiene or treatment? Yes, it can be dangerous for us to romanticize āpovertyā and mask it is āsustainabilityā or simple living. Advanced technology, combined with an advanced humanity through cultivating compassion, can empower women just like my young friend here and her family into a life of abundance, alongside the Planet too š #techforgood @welltechinnov (at Rajasthan)

We talk often about worlds. Real worlds, dream worlds, spiritual worlds, extra-dimensional worlds, and virtual worlds. The more I dive into emerging tech and innovation, the more Iām convinced that advanced tech enhances human prosperity. What do humans value possibly more than money? Itās TIME. Tech saves us time...drive two hours from the city to expansive national park, rent a canoe pre-manufactured and ready to go, jump in and GO. I owe the ability to explore all the world - the ārealā one, and others - to tech. How I use this inspiration, learned wisdom and the tech itself, is influenced by my internal journey (meditation and contemplation). We need both. Advanced technology can only positively enhance the world if thereās an advanced humanity driving it. Finally watched Condition Oneās āMelting Iceā VR experience on Within via my new Oculus Go. Great piece, breathtaking and heartbreaking. Whilst VR is still in its early adoption years and the technology remains imperfect, without it I would never have just been side by side with Al Gore in Greenland contemplating what action needs to be taken on Climate Change (from my living room). VR is such an important medium and as the technology improves so too will the adoption. #VR #climatechange (at Montreal, Quebec)

ā ļø Both my sons were born into a household where violence and abuse against their mother was considered acceptable by their father. A culture inherited from their grandfather. My sons are the reason I eventually remembered who I was, and left the marriage, when they were 4 and 2. A decade too long. It's taken a long four years to heal, and now we thrive. From selling everything to traveling full time to living in a tipi and life on our terms. š October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and I will raise my voice. 35% of all women are abused by an intimate partner, globally. Next month I will trek the Himalayas with my sons raising awareness on Domestic Violence, and fundraising for @herfarmnepal ā° My goals are simple: to raise unity consciousness, and turn oppression into opportunity for women of the world.
