So since starting my healing journey I had my first Real big aha moment (I’ve had many along they way but this was knock me on my a** big- for mom’s picture Rapunzel in Tangled when she realized she was the lost princess) I was walking through the food store and I realized every time I’m there (which is a lot with 3 kids!) I’m drawn to the flowers and every time I walk away. Why would I get flowers? For myself? They’re too expensive. They die. But this time was different. I bought 2 dozen roses for MYSELF!! And I’ve come to a huge realization.... I LOVE FLOWERS!! Now to some it may be ok I don’t get it? What’s the big deal? Well for many years I’ve denied my love of flowers. In fact I told many I hate flowers. What’s the point? The only die. But the truth is I buried it so deep to never have to deal w the pain of not getting them. At least from the person I felt I should get them from. This started 2 weeks ago when all I wanted to get for my Aunt’s passing was flowers... no matter what anyone else said. My soul wanted flowers! I won’t suppress my feelings or love of things for my unwillingness to deal w hurt or pain. I will buy the flowers for me. And I will plant roses in my garden this summer because my soul deserves joy and so do I! What is your truth?
