Angelcore, also known as Dovecore, was originally established in the 2010s. This aesthetic is inspired by images and depictions of angels. An angel is a spiritual being in human form, with wings, who serves as a messenger and protector of humans.

Angelcore exudes an ethereal vibe, inspired by the Rococo era of artwork. This art style emerged in the early to late 18th century, largely attributed to French painter Jean-Antoine Watteau. Rococo is characterized by its elaborate ornamentation, soft colours, and curvy lines. The themes often focus on scenes of aristocratic leisure and romance.
