That’s only half a joke, really. One of my favourite videos is Five Things I’d Like to Do in the Next Five Years. That actually started out as a clone of 24 Things I’ve Never Done by WheezyWaiter, and just evolved as I was writing it.

A lot is stolen from my own life, too. There was a person who really wanted to have dinner with me, and I felt bad saying no, so I blew her off with a few noncommittal jokes. She didn’t get it, and when I finally had to just say “Nope. That would make me super uncomfortable,” she got pretty mad at me and it was way worse than if I had just said no in the first place. So, I made a video about why it’s important to say no and why you shouldn’t feel like a jerk for doing so because your feelings are a part of that equation too.

Other things are just ideas that have been kicking around in my brain for a long time. I think a lot about YouTube, and in my six years of watching, have developed a few opinions on it. About how silence is not a terrible thing to have in your videos, or how difficult and frustrating it is to find your audience when YouTube is so saturated with content.

I wish I had a better, more concrete answer for you, but I don’t. Rawr.
