If you have the capability, keep meticulous records of what you have collected — where you found it, who originally made it, what year it comes from, the spaces and communities it was associated with, the names of the people who brought it into existence.

I think the archiving the where, when, and who it came from especially is important. I'm surprised this is the first time I've seen that point mentioned in talks about archiving queer media. There's so so many unknown stories behind historical queer texts and photos because there were no names to the faces and no record of how it came to be.
