I hope this is one of the most unexpected crossovers between fandoms that could ever exist.
@angelochek-86 and I have a new AU! It’s a crossover between Monsters, Inc. and the game Fear & Hunger (specifically Termina, but I’ll make a crossover with the first Funger later).
I’m a huge Funger fan, so I just couldn’t pass up this whole theme. Below, I’ll break down the role of each character, because my friend and I discussed it for a long time, and this is seriously neuron activation for me.
1. James P. Sullivan (Abella, Marcoh).
As a police officer, Sully has been pursuing a major criminal figure for a long time — Jonathan Worthington. He’s responsible for numerous murders, financial crimes, drug trafficking victims, etc. But just when Sully had solid evidence in his hands, Johnny fled to Monstropolis. James chases after him to arrest the criminal and uncover his secret.
2. Mike Wazowski (Karin, Tanaka).
Wazowski works as Sully’s partner, a police officer. His wedding to Celia was supposed to take place in about a week, but his fiancée goes missing, leaving behind an alarming note saying she urgently had to leave for Monstropolis. Mike worries about his fiancée and decides to follow her and find out what happened.
3. Randall Boggs (Pav, O’Saa, Needles).
Randall used to sell his body, but after meeting Johnny Worthington, he became a professional killer. However, his greed for money made Randall betray Johnny. He ruined Johnny’s life and is now forced to flee. In his hometown of Monstropolis, he wants to ask his father — the head of a local orphanage — for help escaping the country.
4. Johnny Worthington (Henryk, Caligura).
He’s the ruthless mafia boss. But one day, Randall Boggs appeared in his life. The deadly prostitute simply charmed Johnny. He gave him status and a job as a killer, but in return, he received betrayal. Johnny, who was forced to kill his wife and many friends, craves revenge against the treacherous lizard. Chasing after Randall, he heads to Monstropolis…
5. Tylor Tuskmon (Levi).
Returning from the war, Tylor suffered a concussion and had to take morphine for pain relief. He developed a serious drug addiction. No one wanted to hire him, and now he wants to return to the orphanage to ask for help from Father Boggs, who was always kind to Tylor.
6. Duncan Anderson (Samarie).
Working as a courier at the front lines, Duncan repeatedly saw a handsome young soldier — Tylor Tuskmon. His interest and observation grew into a real obsession. Now that Tylor is about to return to his hometown of Monstropolis, Duncan follows him. Perhaps this will be his only chance to reunite with his object of adoration.
7. Javier Rios (Daan).
As a highly qualified doctor, Javier was invited to Monstropolis to help a local religious figure — Father Boggs. For several months now, Father Boggs has been suffering from a strange illness that Javier has been studying for a long time. Now he wants to put his knowledge into practice.
8. Val Little (Olivia, Abella).
Being an excellent mechanic, Val learns that strange things are happening in Monstropolis: long-deactivated military machines are being vandalized, and someone even tried to turn them on. She heads to Monstropolis to completely shut down the entire underground power supply system of the military equipment to prevent any catastrophe.
9. Katherine Sterns (Marina).
As a necromancer, Kat studied under Claire Worthington, but not long ago, Claire mysteriously disappeared. Kat was planning to perform an important ritual during the upcoming full moon, but she needed the advice of her experienced mentor. In her attempts to find Claire, Kat picks up the trail of Johnny Worthington and follows him to Monstropolis to find out what happened to her mentor...
10. Frank McCoy (August).
As a retired police officer, he had always been a mentor and reliable senior partner to Sulley and Mike. But when Sulley got involved in investigating Johnny Worthington’s case, Frank grew worried. The trail recently led to Monstropolis, so Frank followed after Sulley, knowing the terrible truth about that city and wanting to help and save his juniors.
Johnny got promoted so his old job goes to Randall. It's his first day as a head of the scare department and he's checking his colleagues' scores (all lower than his)
Remember that episode in Monsters at Work where there was a friendly baseball game between Monsters, Inc and Fear.co?
Well, in the AU (by me and my friend MONSTERNAUT), this game was between the Laugh Floor and the Scare Floor. Because in our AU, Monsters Inc split into two niches: making kids laugh and making them scream.
And so, playing for Johnny Worthington’s team (he’s the head of the Scare Floor) was Randall Boggs. I think he really enjoys being the batter. He generally loves swinging something in his hands: a tennis racket, a golf club, a baseball bat.
Anyway, Randall played great. I like to think that in that moment, he’s super focused.
Johnny Worthington didn’t play very well. Because he kept staring at Randall. Boggs has a super sexy figure – he’s a really sexy lizard overall.
During the break, Randall would pull him aside and hiss at Johnny: “What are you doing, Worthington?!”
And Johnny would honestly say that he’s distracted by Randall.
Randall would hiss at him:
“Get it together, Johnny! I can’t lose to that Sullivan! Otherwise I’ll be disappointed!”
Johnny would say: “And I could cheer you up* later?”
And Randall would say indignantly: “NO, Worthington! If we lose, I’ll just go home. And I won’t accept any cheering up*. Especially not from you!!!"
*Johnny was counting on having sex with Randall. If you’re interested, they ended up winning the match, and Johnny did sleep with Randall after all (celebrating the victory). 8)
Oomph! has a cool song called "Traumst du." There's an awesome music video where ghosts of hooligans return to an old school and save their sexy teacher from a creepy security guard who spies on her through surveillance cameras.
My take on it: what if Johnny were one of the hooligans from the video, and Randall were the sexy teacher. YEP, THESE ARE THE THOUGHTS I HAVE, YUP. GOT IT.
