Hey there! I just wanted to say that as a 16yo little from Australia there are different laws regarding sex here and it's not rape past the age of 16. Nudes are a different story, but the act is completely legal. I've had a lot of dd/g blogs block me because of my age and it really pisses me off. I'm not doing anything wrong according to the laws in my country so I don't really understand why I'm being punished? (Sorry to rant to you, but I just saw the answer to an ask you made about >18 girls)

Okay. I need to make a PSA about this subject because people are STILL unaware of the difference between age of CONSENT, and age of MAJORITY.  AOC = 16 in a lot of countries some are 17 etc AOM = 18 in a lot of countries some are 21 etc

AOC is the age at which you can legally have sexual contact with another person physically AOM is the age at which you attain adulthood and the age at which you can have sexual contact with people online. (websites, mobile apps etc)

Also, ANY bdsm related activity whether IRL or online is legally controlled to the AOM. Hence why all ‘adult’ websites have 18+ (or 21+) restrictions on them.

It makes no difference what the Age of Consent is in your country. Tumblr and other websites are governed by online obscenity laws.

As an Australian, i just want to clarify that yes, the age of consent is sixteen but that only allows you to have sex with someone between the age of 16 and 18. Once a person over the age of 18 engages in any sexual behaviour with someone under the age of 18, it is still illegal.

The same applies for nudes and erotic photography. You may be over the age of consent, but you are still a minor and as such are not able to take photos and share them in a public forum as that woulf be distributing child pornography.

I have nothing against minors (if theyre over the age of consent) engaging in sexual acts, but only if their partner is also over the age of consent but under the age of minority.

To the original messenger, if you feel comfortable with your sexuality to engage in sexual behaviours on the kink spectrum then that’s great! But please be safe regarding who you engage with, as you dont want to be putting yourself or others in the firing line for legal ramifications.
