Assignment 1 - 15 Second Nonsense
This video that I made is just a bunch of clips I took when we were doing a photoshoot with my photographer friends, Junelia and Mary Joy, and our model, Belinda, strutting with style while on set. (Watch in HD)
Audacity Primer
The track I produced is 81 seconds long and used 6 different sounds compiled together into one track/mashup (stereo) including:
Hands To Myself - Selena Gomez (Vocal Track)
Roses - The Chainsmokers (Instrumental Track)
Roses - The Chainsmokers (Vocal Track)
My Youth - Troye Sivan (Vocal Track)
My House - Flo Rida (Instrumental Track)
Stressed Out - TWENTY ØNE PILØTS (Vocal Track)
The mashup is named “Say You”ll Never Let Me Go” and the art within it is that it is a unified song with the flow of a continuing lyrics telling a story about young love. Some of the editing tools I used; cutting, panning, changing volumes, and layering which is the main work of producing tracks/mashups. Thinking of the concept, I think its good to produce a mashup related to love because it is common and relatable.
Assignment #5 - Studio Light Portrait
This photo was taken at a Studio with my model, Junelia. The original photo was on landscape. Changing the photo into a portrait, fixing her hair, and making it Black & White; It has a huge effect on Junelias’ shadow.
Assignment #4 - Turning a photo into a painting
The original photo I used for this assignment is a nature landscape. It suits perfectly when I used different kinds of artistic filters making the landscape look like a realistic painting and adding each photo a +25 Saturation for a warmer feel.
PS: View photos in full view to see caption.
Assignment #3 - Dreamscape
What I made here is that the landscape is surrealistic -- by adding objects such as polychromatic marshmallow clouds with different swings hanging on it.
Assignment #2 - Face Manipulation
On this assignment, I tried to play on the image of Niclas Gillis like making his face look more animalistic. I put scales and layered it with a blue skin, made his hair more golden and applied an ear on it, and putting a foggy background. I also made small fixes on his lips, and his right eye.
Assignment #1: Name as Art - using layers
In this assignment, I tried to combine the letters of my name from separate layers. I made it look like it is fading from the lower right side to the upper left side. I used similar effects in all the letters I transformed to make it simple and I placed it on a plain background for it to be focused.
MULTI-MEDIA ARTIST: Theo Watson
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Watson has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design. As a programmer, Watson has worked with Zach Lieberman in creating openFrameworks, an open source C++ library for creative coding and graphics. DIGITAL ARTIST: Steve McGhee
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Born and raised in London Ontario Canada, he grew up wanting to be a fireman... But as luck would have it, his teachers in Elementary and High School noticed that he had “artistic ability”. In grade 8, as he left the comforting walls of his beloved Lord Nelson Public, his homeroom teacher, Mr. Webster wrote in his yearbook, “Most likely to be designing cereal boxes”.
THEIR WORK: “My work reflects a personal interest in things human beings have little or no control over. We walk through life feeling like we’re indestructible, while in reality, we’re just the opposite. In the days and weeks following a major catastrophes,, people tend to reboot – we get shocked back into being human. That is to say, we react in an undeniably human way… whenever tragedy strikes in the world people come together to help those directly affected. It’s just too bad we have to be reminded that we’re human in such terrible ways.
My work is in no way intended to glorify or condone acts of terrorism or celebrate the loss of millions of souls who have perished in past events, rather it is a commentary on the frailty of human existence and made to honour the loved ones left behind to deal with their unbearable loss.” - Steve McGhee
WHY I LIKE THEM: Steve McGhee’s digital works are
ASSIGNMENT #6
In this work, I tried to make the Statue of Liberty more err... real or alive. I colored the body brown for the skin, black on the hair, and some details on the face. I lessened the opacity to keep the shadows. And here’s the outcome.
ASSIGNMENT #9 Dandelion.
ASSIGNMENT #7 I was inspired from the movie, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, in making this movie poster. So what I did here is I took a shot of my friends in the studio and tried to mix them with a simple background of the poster. I used Adobe Photoshop in editing.

Photo Project 10: Natural Light Portrait
Photo Project 7: Studio Light Portrait Project
These are my shots of my model, Junelia. I only used a fill light and a key light. It is my first time to do it in a studio lighting. And it is great that I captured amazing shots of Junelia with the use of the different lightings.
