I want you share a previous blog post I wrote titled. HOW I BUILT MY CHILDREN'S CAPSULE WARDROBE USING ONLY 33 ITEMS. By Coach Angie! I use  Project 333 to form my children's capsule wardrobe. I only give my children 33 items to wear in their wardrobe. I change their clothes seasonal but the 33 items rules still stands. I was getting tired of washing so many clothes and wanted to do something different that would save me more time and help me to live with less. When I discovered the 33 items rule, I fell in love with it. I really want to use this rule for myself, I am slowly working on getting my wardrobe down to 33 items. I think my issue is I love design, so when I see a pretty piece that I love, I want to incorporate it into my wardrobe. I am not the girl that live in the department stores and I don't have to buy the latest fashion items but when I see something that I love, I want to buy it. I don't go over board with the buying either. My homeschooler who's in highschool asked me, "whatever happened to home economics and do they still have it as a high school course?" I told her yes, but for homeschoolers it is called life skills. She inquired about it and I listened. I am taking action and giving all my homeschoolers a economics course. I decided to turn my kitchen over to my homeschoolers 2 nights a week and allow them to cook a whole meal for our family, dessert included. This will relieve me of cooking and it will be so much fun for them. I will facilitate of course. My homeschoolers are ages 7, 9, 10 and 15 soon to be 16. All of them will take part in preparing the meals. Since everyone is reading so well now, this will be good. For reading directions, reading recipes, following directions, comprehension skills, listening skills, fractions, measurements, baking, cooking, meal planning, list writing, note-taking, grocery, etiquette, table setting, shopping, budgeting, math, and working together as a team. We are preparing them to live in the real world one day and life skills is very important in preparing them for that. I know everyone have different sensitivity and beliefs but I can't sit around and monitor every book and movie that come through my channel or finger tips. But frankly am over things that are not kid appropriate coming through my screens and books. I am over adults books and viewing I myself have to monitor for my spirit and moral beliefs. I have been guilty of letting toxic things slip through but I am completely done and on a mission to purge and declutter anything that does not line up with my morals and faith. So I am on a mission to curate a library filled with clean family age appropriate movies and books 📚 that I don't have to worry about what my children are going to be reading and seeing I will be sharing my findings in a up coming blog post. Mommas if you feel the same way lets ban together to share clean family age appropriate literature and movies that the whole family can enjoy. When my homeschoor became a highschooler, I felt the pressure to put her back in traditional school, I knew in my heart that this is not what I was supposed to do, traditional school wouldn't work with her schedule, but I was also scared and doubting myself because of the pressure from others who were saying that she needed to go back to a traditional/private school setting. I even tried to do it against my better judgment. 2 twice and both times it didn't work out. And then something happened, her gift made room for her and we both knew traditional school was not an option. I started to pay attention to how the school systems works and I started to notice my highschooler's gifting and listened to her every word. God was showing me how to create her curriculum taylor fitted just for her. He showed me that traditional school is a time waster and a distraction from her authentic call. I worried am I getting it right and he assured me that I have everything inside of me to educate my child the way she needs to be educated regardless if others think I am qualified or not. See your highschooler, study them, you are called momma for your child's educational future. You know exactly what they need for their authentic path. I was having issues with teaching high school the traditional way. I struggled with all of the boring textbook. I want my highschooler to have fun and enjoy what she is learning. I want to do high school totally different than all of the same curriculum that I am seeing online and on youtube. I don't want to stay in the curriculum box that everyone is doing. I am creating a out of the box curriculum for my high schooler. My main concern with high school is that all of the material changes to boring graphics, your basic black and white with no color and thousands of words on a page. I know they are trying to prepare them for young adult life, college and higher levels of literature and comprehension but who said it has to be drudgery and boring. It is more than one way to learn information and it can be fun, and exciting and full of childlike color and wonder. So I am giving myself permission to break the rules since we have creative control over what we learn and how  we get information inside our hearts and mind there will be no thick textbooks for us. An example of this would be to keep a empty bin in your closet. So when you getting ready for day and come across an item that you don't love anymore, you can take it off the hanger and toss it in the bin. Do it for all your closet. At the end of the week donate it to charity. When you are cooking, wash the dishes as you are preparing the meal. Don't save it until the end. As mail come it, have a sorting station next to it have a trash can. Get rid of unwanted mail as it comes in. Keep the pantry wiped down as you are looking for something to cook or snack on. When you find an empty box toss it in the trash. Assign a home to absolutely everything in your home.The items that have obvious homes should be in their proper places. If you're done with homeschool, take your books back to its home. That goes for anything. The shoes home is not in the middle of the kitchen floor. Put it in the bin in the mudroom.
