Mother & Daugther
not hyun ju dying a hero because she didn’t want to get to safety without her friends
i’m not crying
Ali Larter as Clear Rivers • Final Destination 2 (2003)
list of things that make me really sad about yjs:
in the past ---
jackies stupid death
travis sleeping with javi's carved wolf
i kept a promise
misty being cut off from travis and akilah and losing her glasses in the dark all alone
coach wanting to die from day 1 and only being released after several breaking points
laura lee
the attempt at an abortion with shauna and taissa
laura lee, javi, jackie, cabin daddy and now coach haunting the wilderness and probably stuf in limbo forever
melissa looking at shauna after getting shot
lottie being mentally ill and nobody knows
shauna becoming the animal butcher out of curiosity only to become the people butcher too
in the future ---
jeff's life
shauna still suffering from the "middle child" syndrome
shauna being giddy yet not happy with adam
lottie dying alone after trying to make amends
lottie dying on THAT staircase 25 years later (if we don't get a flashback with laura lee welcoming her to purgatory i'll scream)
nat dying when she was trying to get better
misty killing her best friend
shauna seeing jackie's necklace on her daughter
sammy being scared of his own mother
simone feeling abandoned
tai not being able to sleep in s1
nat seeing travis's body
van's stupid illness
van's stupid devotion to tai
#sure jan
so basically sammy's psychiatrist in s1 answered the other tai thing:
psychogenic fugue, dissociative amnesia or stuff like that
also pica can explain the dirt eating since she was losing weight during the election and in the wilderness so she resorted to pica in order to get those nutrients
"i don't understand how i'm the only one in this family who thinks actions should have consequences" - shauna sadecki, 1.05
honey boo? babe? i love you but no you don't and the way you said that makes me think you don't believe that either
my complicated relationship with yjs characters:
i like adult nat because i like young nat
i like young shauna because i like adult shauna
i like young taissa but adult taissa is super sketchy
i tend to kinda like van most of the time regardless of age
i like adult lottie in a way and i like young lottie in another way
i don't like young misty but i do like adult misty
coach scott deserved to die in the crash (i say that lovingly)
travis too
all the men didn't deserve to be there honestly
i like mari because she tried to scoop back a brain into an axed head
hat is fine she's got the puppy eyes
i like akilah because she's too sweet for this world
i like jackie as much as i would like any bossy teenage girl with a golden heart (in small doses)
i like jeff because jeff is jeff
i like callie because she is jeff + shauna + jackie
rewatching s1 and seeing ben wanting to die from ep 3 and jackie saying “the worst is behind us”
people are like: oh shauna is the villain, lottie is the villain, dark tai, cabin daddy, they’re the villain!
no guys. There is no villain and it’s the whole point in every single season. it’s just fucking trauma stealing the life of a young girl one at a time during 25 years
this episode made me feel sad for three people who actually did a lot wrong and still have big puppy eyes
i see people angry that the girls got feral and murdery... guys... it's in the pilot? like... what were you expecting?
i mean nat becoming crazy after the rescue is kinda reasonable now
steve is alive that's all that matters now
wow taivan is not the most deranged gay couple in yellowjackets anymore
honestly this show is so good why have episodes... so cringe?
This is the best idea in the history of film.
Also I do think Shauna was about to tell Misty “why would you destroy the black box” but in the future Misty will do something good and they will all agree not to bring it up again against her or something
