Con Etiquette
In my free time I work for a booking agent. I'm essentially a personal assistant for whichever Client he assigns me at a convention. From my experience both working with clients, talking with other guests, and observing other guests being insulted, no matter if your trying to be cute or funny, is still rude as hell. Nobody thinks it's cute, nobody thinks it's funny. The guests generally dont say anything because they don't want to hurt your feelings. I know it's hard to see them as actual real life people but they are, and words can hurt them just like anyone else. Another thing when they are walking to photo ops, the green room, panels, or anywhere really, DO NOT GRAB AT THEM (I feel like that shouldnt even have to be stated outloud but some people still are oblivious), also dont ask for photos when they've just left a table where people waited in line for however long and paid for their autographs and photos. Its disrespectful to those fans and to the guest. General guide line if you wouldn't want a random stranger to come up to you on the street and do it/say it then dont do it/say it to the guests. While it may get you noticed and remembered , it won't be in a good way. P.S. sexual innuendo or saying anything sexual Is extremely awkward and uncomfortable for everyone. In my experience I've never seen any client be turned on. Just don't. And as flattering as u might think it is to tell them how hot or sexy they are it's just awkward. My advice, think about what your going to say repeat it out loud to yourself and a friend.
