So… today I had that kind of experience only people who get injured while traveling understand.
I’m on an island, completely out of the way, and to reach the nearest town I had to go by boat. The thing is, I broke my foot while walking on stone stairs. I went to the hospital and they sent me to the nearest town by "Ambulancha" 🚤. Which in Portuguese is ambulance + a boat.
And that’s where the coincidences start, because of course, when Zeus decides to join the plot, he really commits.
They sent me to a clinic located right in front of the School of Athens, a college in this city I've never heard of. Second, the taxi driver's name was Eleutério, which in Greek is Ελευθεριος (Eleuthereus), one of Zeus’s epithets, meaning “Of Freedom.”
To top it off, my astragaloi reading came up Zeus, with this very straightforward message:
it’s not a good idea for me to travel, because things won’t go the way I expect.
And… well. He wasn’t wrong.
Astragaloi: "What you plan will not turn out according to your liking, when you do it; it is not useful to travel to foreign lands. You will show no insight if you sell now, nor will it be useful."
Plus, there’s a huge storm hitting the island right now. I mean, it's Zeus’s day, right?
I’m lighting a little candle for him later, out of respect and because, honestly, after all these signs, I’m not taking any chances. Even though I know Eleuthereus is an epithet for Dionysus too... Well, well...
