the su movie has convinced me forever and eternally, without a shadow of a doubt, that the lyrics of this song are rose/pink singing about a lifetime of regrets and how maybe… if she’s lucky… she can learn to love and become a better person.

I'm just mad everyone's got the chance to tell Steven how sorry they were for messing up.

Everyone except Pink, his own mom.

I'm kinda mad we haven't got a scene of him coming in good terms with her in his heart. It's all i wanted.

I wish they discussed Rose. She wasn't a bad person, sure she did bad things in the beginning but she genuinely tried to fix most of her msitakes and changed for the better in the end. It feels weird that they didnt acknowledge her or let Steven realize that she was and is a very complex character. That she wasn't a saint but rather the thing she so desperately loved, human. She made mistakes and tried to change her ways even if she did end up hurting people in the process. I do get that this was Steven's universe so everything we see is through his eyes and it wouldn't have made sense with the direction that they took the finale but I'll always wish for a "Rose is a complex character who did harm but genuinely tried to change and loved Steven" type of closure.
