Without fail, every time a woman is talking about how she does not want to have children and never wants to be pregnant and how medical professionals, romantic interests and family members keep trying to bulldoze her decision and keep expecting her to change her mind because motherhood is something that is expected of all women and it is abhorrent to think a woman could not desire it, a random mother spawns in the comments to be like “Well, actually, you never know! I didn’t want children and then I got pregnant and I realized I love being a mama and I have five little babies now! Could happen to you! 🥰”

Sister, keep that to yourself or make your own goddamn post, you are ignoring that woman’s central concern and belittling her, you don’t even think you’re doing it. Formerly childfree women who ended up having children and loving it are like detransitioners in the sense that there is nothing inherently wrong with changing your mind about having children or realizing you were mistaken about your gender identity but immediately weaponizing your indecision to tell people that the barriers to healthcare and the violations of their bodily autonomy and the way society ignores that person’s wishes is actually okay because you were wrong. Some people do know themselves.

Mike Johnson Has Quite The Reaction To Birthright Citizenship Ruling

“Oh dear, what’d they rule?” the House speaker asked before letting out a groan and rolling his eyes.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) had a pained reaction to the Supreme Court’s ruling on Tuesday upholding birthright citizenship ― and cameras were there to catch the moment.

Johnson was explaining to reporters why he opposed the longstanding interpretation of the 14th Amendment when one of the journalists informed him of the high court’s decision.

Spoiler alert: He was not happy.

“Oh dear, what’d they rule?” he asked before rolling his eyes and letting out a groan that seemed to emanate deep from the recesses of his body.

Johnson tried to give a workable sound bite despite, as we noted above, not being happy at all.

“Well, uh, I need to read the opinion, OK?” he said. “But uh, obviously that’s, I mean, you could say that’s a textualist and originalist view,” a reference to the judicial philosophy that interprets the Constitution based on what the original framers supposedly intended.

Although the Supreme Court had ruled in the past that individuals born in the U.S. are guaranteed citizenship by the Constitution, Johnson predicted last week that the majority-conservative court would be “originalists” and “textualists” when looking at the arguments.
