What tips or advice would you give for drawing backgrounds and/or landscapes? Currently trying to practice drawing backgrounds more and struggling 🙏

Lasso tool, that's it. That's the cheat.

I'm not even kidding, start copying photographies by using the lasso tool to make shapes, copy/paste textures and all that stuff.

Once you feel confident in your skills try also doing so in Greyscale!

Even if your artstyle is lineart based I can guarantee you this will help you in the long run.

I recommend following Loish and Yun Ling (absolute goddess btw, she's insanely good)

Here's some example of backgrounds I did with just the lasso tool:

This technique is also great for fighting art block since it doesn't keep you on the art piece for too long!
