In the near future, I plan to rewrite the script into a full-fledged fiction text so that it can be read like a novel.

Marshal Michel Ney at Waterloo.
update: thanks to a friends suggestion, I have made a little change to this drawing
Preparing another monochrome portrait.
Portrait du Marechal Ney Duc, d’Elchingen (1857)
Ernest Meissonier (French, 1815-1891)
“My name is Michel Ney. I was born at Saarlouis on 10 January 1769. I am the Duke of Elchingen, Prince of the Moscova and Marshal of France, a Chevalier of the Order of St.-Louis,* I wear the Grand Cordon of the Legion of Honour, also the decorations of the Iron Crown of Italy and the Order of Christ”, Thus spoke Ney at his court-martial on November 10 1815. The officer who could claim these bravely earned distinctions was one of those who, beginning life in humble circumstances, owed his advancement to the opportunities offered by the upheaval of 1789—opportunities that the young man, eager for glory, seized with the utmost ardor.

Grumpy orange cat in a hat aka my uniform made for LARP purposes. These are the last pictures from the summer event I attended.
Fun fact: when I first put it on, a person who didn’t know me at all was like “omg that’s a perfect Marshal Ney”. It was a fantasy convention. Yet, dude was like “omg Ney”. That was a good moment.
Bonus: “I have been waiting for this bus since 1815.”
