Question on Wolves and Hydes regarding their sense of smell/scents, etc.
We know Enid was uncertain about Tyler the first couple times she saw him.
"You sure you can trust that Normie?" -Harvest Festival
"Interesting choice of date." -The Rave'N.
Though they get along later in their mutual unease/reluctance (though for different reasons) to explore the Gates Mansion.
We understand that as a Hyde, Tyler has a keen sense of smell by the end of season 2, stating he can scent Capri as a Wolf. But how is Enid's sense of smell? She is an Alpha now but in season 1 she was struggling coming into her Outcast abilities.
Would Tyler have had a different scent than other Normies or would he only smell different while transformed into a Hyde? If Hydes are rare then it would make sense for Hydes to not have much of a scent change compared to humans so that they are harder to locate, but at the same time, going to the Hyde camp in season 3 it's hard for me to assume that if a wolf entered the camp they would only scent Normies and not Hydes. Or maybe it's just their "Dangerous Aura"
Just thinking aloud.
It’s kinda funny when you consider that everyone thought Tyler was a normie for the entirety of season one which means Wednesday was just putting him in all these situations while wholly believing he had no powers/abilities
More things I noticed with the kissing scenes because why not? :) Nothing important, just fun little random things I've spotted.
As you already know, we have three separate hand on cheek takes
Plus I love the thumb sweep
I knew there were different takes of this scene but I noticed when she's falling he's supporting her waist and back but in the next shot he's touching her shoulder/neck. Also the way he's watching her face the whole time she falls kills me.
Then I noticed her hand dragging along the crook of his arm when she gets up (not intentional but still fun to notice). Plus watching him slowly stand as she looks around.
(Sorry about the gif quality/speeds it's such a hassle getting around Tumblr's gif size limit)
If we see any scenes of Tyler coughing up blood like Francoise in season 3 I'll be devastated. And if he hides it—
Though we don't know why Hyde transformations have a human cost. Is the cost because they don't have a master? Is the cost because they do have a master and each command ebbs at their lifeforce? Or would Hydes deteriorate with every transformation regardless if they have a Master or not?
Can't wait to learn more about it at the Hyde Colony in Season 3!
Capri I'm hoping you're not a villain!
If we're getting a scene with Shirtless Tyler in season three at the Hyde Colony, are we getting a clear view of the bitemark on his back or no? Because it seems he keeps the scars caused by other transformed Outcasts (Enid's Scratches)
I still wanna know how Thornhill cleared the basement before Donovan got there. Realistically, how much time does it take for Tyler to drive them all back to the Galpin house? Then they weren't there for that long because Donovan comes home in the middle of Wednesday tending to Tyler's scratches. Then there's the drive back to the Mansion? It doesn't seem like enough time unless Donovan grumbled about actually checking it out and dragged his feet about it.
But Tyler's Hyde must have done some damage on a couple of the storage racks in the basement. I can imagine Laurel grumbling and cursing them all as she sweeps it all up and stashes the body parts in her car to drive to another location.
Does the Hyde have forehead scars and Tyler doesn't? Maybe I just can't get a good look, but I also assume it would be because it is pointless to apply the scars onto Hunter's forehead when his hair covers it most of the time.
(looking at the left corner on these Hyde photos. I'm seeing three scratches? Not counting his cheek and nose scars)
Now looking at his human form
There could be one here but it could also be a stray hair.
But I can't see much from the ones below.
Idk man I was just lookin' for fun
I'm so late to this and I'm sure this has been talked about but that Goddamn Raven has got to be this person solely because Grandmama is suspicious af in general and with Ophelia so I could totally see them watching over Wednesday. That or it's all Ophelia.
Yeah, I'm already changing my opinion to Ophelia in here because the miscolored eyes.
Siblings btw? Same eyes?
Or both being used to spy on others? Through Ophelia watching through their eyes and the Raven's eye. That would be cool.
Saw someone say the scars on Tyler's chest were from him scratching himself (at Gates Mansion) so I had to compare because I thought they were from his fight with Enid. So I went back to screenshot. They are different yes (Can you tell I question myself often?)
Got some bloody Hyde face pics too.
I had always hoped that his dad's gunshot wound would scar (because it would be tragic combined with his mom's Hyde bite) but I think I see it on his chest in the pic on the forest floor which is not seen in Willow hill so no gunshot wound scar?
Though I don't recall what this shoulder/neck scar is from?
I saw this a bit on Twitter about people saying Tyler was looking Wednesday up and down during the Crypt scene, and as interesting as that would be, I saw it a bit differently.
Since this is a gif, what you don't hear, is Laurel going "Tyler", then pausing until he starts to turn his head to acknowledge her, then she continues her order, "Go wait by the boat."
He's making eye contact with Wednesday, then his eyes flicker down at the same time Laurel calls for him, and I saw it more as him zeroing in on his Master's tone and command before he looks back over his shoulder at her. So I saw it more as a switch between focusing on Wednesday then shifting his attention to listening to his master.
And another thing!
He doesn't fully turn around to listen to his master, he turns his body just enough to look at her and acknowledge her before turning back to Wednesday.
After watching the teaser of Wednesday Season 3, I can't help but to notice the letters above each of the character's names. I know A stands for Addams, N might be for Nevermore, F for Frump and B (I have no idea with this)... But notice Tyler's being O? Shouldn't it be a G (for Galpin or whatever) and lastly Santiago's a ⭐... Lemme hear your thoughts on this as well as some theories! I'd love reading those! I'm sooo seated for Wednesday Season 3!
I'm sure we've all been seeing the discourse on Twitter regarding the Season 1 original scripts. I'm focusing on these two posts and what they made me notice more about the Police Station confession scene.
Yes I know that in the scene, Tyler didn't full on hug her when he warned her, "You have no idea what's coming". But he did grab her.
You can see his hand touch her upper arm. I can only imagine he's doing the same on her other side to keep her by him.
I was also noting their closeness in the actual scene vs the image posted by the other Twitter user.
The camera angle has changed and he seems a lot closer to her. Maybe there was a filmed hug but it was scrapped, or they wanted a bit more distance between them for the final cut. I don't know. I don't really have anything to add. I just enjoy talking about them so.
Also, Wednesday Season 3.
What is the timeline for the start of 3x1?
Are they jumping right into Wednesday finding Enid after a few days/weeks? Then would that mean we would see Tyler right away as well?
Or would it be months later, and Enid has lost touch with reality? Then Tyler has already became his own Master by then and healed?
I remember hearing someone mention the possibility of everyone back at Nevermore and there's just jump cuts to the past and finding Enid.
What's the plan?
Tyler: "Did you ever even love her?"
Donovan: "More than you could ever know."
Recently came up with a different interpretation of this scene than what I initially had:
At this point in the story, Tyler knows that his mother was a Hyde, and he guesses that Donovan must have learnt of her Hyde identity after they got married - Tyler has no reason to believe that his outcast-hating father would marry a woman whom he knew to be a Hyde, and Donovan calls Fran a liar in one of the deleted scenes from the script. For all Tyler knows, Donovan hated Francoise after finding out she was a Hyde, and it made her condition worse and possibly led to her death, and that was why his dad wouldn’t speak of her.
Now, compare this against the situation Tyler fancies himself to be in - he’s just set up a date with Wednesday, the spooky outcast girl who is obsessed with the monster in the woods. A part of him knows, or at least hopes, that she wouldn’t react to his true identity the way his father did with his mother’s. So when he’s getting angry at Donovan, he’s also defending Wednesday - how dare he accuse Tyler’s girl of potentially hurting him, when Donovan was the one who stopped loving the Hyde he was married to?
Has Donovan always hated Outcasts? He willingly fell in love with one. He knew Francoise was from Nevermore, I assume. It would be crazy if they only met because of the incident at Iago Tower, since she was part of the incident and he was a deputy at the time.
Then he found out either right before or sometime after the wedding that she was a Hyde (As Weems said that she wouldn't be her maid of honor because she hadn't told Donovan yet). So he builds the bunker to protect them all in case she ever Hyded out. Then what? Did she tell him that Hyde genes can be passed down? Or did she deny it?
Okay, tangent because if she said that the genes could not be passed down, then Donovan could have simply ignored Tyler because he looks too much like his mom and falling into work/alcohol was the easiest thing to do.
But if she said that Tyler had a chance of being a Hyde, then another reason for Donovan avoiding him may be because he was afraid of becoming his master? Listen, maybe he knew that Francoise was unlocked when her father slapped her across the face. We also know that it was originally written/deleted scene (I think Hunter said it was filmed then cut out later) that Donovan slapped Tyler when he stole Gomez's file from him, and it was supposed to seem like it wasn't the first time.
So then with all of Donovan's pent up anger and devastation, he thought ignoring his son was safer than hitting him and having the potential of traumatizing him enough to become his master. Tyler says in season 2 to Donovan's hallucination that "You always looked at me with fear". I wonder if he worried about Tyler's potential to being a Hyde, and decided that hiding it from him was best and that he wouldn't need to worry about anyone grooming him for his Hyde because no one else knew about the possibility except Donovan? Like if he told Tyler about it, then it would A) lead to more discussions/talks between the two that Donovan couldn't handle, and B) open up the possibility that Tyler could have accidentally let it slip to someone he knew which could end up being used against him and his Hyde.
Donovan did a terrible job with the whole situation, to be honest. But I wish he didn't die. I wish Tyler could have had a happy ending with at least one of his parents.
I was rewatching the Weyler kiss in season 1 on youtube (sue me) and I always assumed that they kissed and Tyler held her face with one hand but a comment pointed out that Wednesday may have reached up to touch him/or he reached up to cup the other side of her face? So obviously I'm looking back because it's the side we can't see.
So I'm looking at her shoulder furthest from the camera. The blank space between them filled by her shoulder reaching up? And yes I slowed that shit down to show you.
Does it not potentially look like her reaching up? Then when she has her vision and pulls away, we see her hand is held up like she may have been grabbing onto him just before the vision pulled her away.
(I added the falling scene as well below to show both of her arms are down in the last one so maybe it was his hand/or a different take)
Extra kissing scene you're welcome ;)
