Back then, I was obsessed with Misa Amane from DEATH NOTE, so I styled myself like this for the photoshoot. At the time, I was also playing guitar in a band, so I think I wanted to capture a bit of that “band girl” atmosphere too — although the guitar in the photo is actually just a toy.
Now that I’m an adult, I don’t think I’d have the courage to wear a coordinate like this anymore. This corset bustier has a cross pattern on it, and I still think it’s so cute.
By the way, changing the subject a little…
Today I saw a debate on X (Twitter) about a certain subgenre of egl fashion. Would a coordinate like the one in this photo be considered “ero-loli” overseas?
In Japan, we generally wouldn’t call it that. Differences in language and cultural context can be really complicated. Personally, I hope we can respect each other and try to understand where everyone is coming from.
A friend of Mami wears Kazuko Ogawa’s 0003 mini nun op (long sleeve) with white collar in black x white.
This photo was taken in 2000 so it is not a bodyline replica, but i’m unsure which fabric this is. Kazuko Ogawa offered different fabric options for each main piece design (velveteen, synthetic leather, polyester, ‘formal’, others?)
