R.I.P. little black and grey Adidas tracksuit.
This is a portrait of Thorin Oakenshield I drew last December after viewing the second chapter of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit.
However, apart some decisions, I liked these two films a lot(as previous said); above all the perfect characterization of every character, not to mention the awesome job Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage and Benedict Cumberbatch do with their personas. When I re-read the book(first time I was ten), the character of Thorin was not so delineated(not talking about the other dwarves), because, I reckoned, The Hobbit was a tale.Movie’s Thorin is more mature, instead. In fact, I drew Thorin because it’s one of the character who fascinates me the most in this trilogy: the first time I saw “An Unexpected Journey” I was fascinated by how melancholic and majestic was, and how he slowly turns wicked as the company reaches Erebor. Movies or not, Thorin is one of my favourite characters of Tolkien universe; so here you are.
