So (claps hands) superhero/secret identity hamefura au headcanon. Writing this at 2 am on a work night. Sleep won't come so might as well grab my phone and randomly dole this out.
Now I've already seen some hamefura superhero au ideas in the tags (all of which are choice and you should totally hunt down) but I have a few of my own ideas on the concept that I wanna share so bare with me.
let's just start off with everyones favorite lovable oblivious idiot; Katarina Claes. Who in my version of this au... Has no super powers. Now bear with me here. I do this cause I really love Katarinas character as is, and one of the most lovable things about her is how, from a certain pov, she doesn't really excel in the same way or on the same level her friends do. Her most well liked trait is her kind and genuine personality and fun unpredictable nature. She doesn't have any exceptional powers in Canon, and she doesn't need any. I am confident Katarina Claes would fit perfectly fine into ANY au with only the bare minimum changes needed. (I love her that much)
Jumping off that last point Katarina, in my ideal secret identity au, rather than having a secret identity is actually an unintentional secret keeper to a lot of the other other characters identies. I can easily see her bumbling into finding out Geordo or Nicols secret identities and ending up as their secret keepers in consequence. Katarina may lack subtlety in some aspects but I actually think she's be really dedicated to keeping important secrets.
Anyway right off the bat, both Geordo and Nicol have secret identities because of course they do.
Geordo would make an excellent use of batmans cunning, wide skillset, and deep pockets/influence (though with a far different personality). He has a public image and knows how to use it. Technically a hero, but has a darker side.
Nicol is more of a romantic phantom thief archetype a la Arsene Lupin or tuxedo mask. More expressive and bold with the mask on, and likely inherited the role from his grandfather. (credit @eastofthemoon for this concept lol)
Sophia is still bfs with Katarina in this au, though whether she would be aware of Nicols activities or is in the dark is something that could go either way tbh.
Alan, on the other hand, doesn't know anything about his brothers double life and has no secret identity of his own. Mostly because I have trouble imagining Geordo willingly making anyone, even his brother a secret keeper (as I said Katarina stumbles into it) and because I can't imagine Alan bothering with a secret identity. If he wants to kick criminal butt, he's gonna do it the old fashioned good semaritan way. By punching random thugs. Plus I like the idea of Geordo having an unacknowledged protective instinct towards Alan and it seeping through as a hero. Nothing in Canon supports this, but I do not care.
And that is all I have for now. Unfortunately my sleepless night has not given me any ideas a la what roles Keith, Mary, Maria, etc would play in said au, but I may come up with further ideas. Who knows?

Maria keeps her powers hidden due to wanting to have a normal life for her and her mother (maybe her powers got her nothing but trouble and freaked her dad out so much he ran away) and it’s our Katarina that convinces Maria that her powers can be a blessing too and lets her help people too.
Also Mary is the Wonder Woman of the group with super strength, but also tries to keep Alan out of it to protect him because she has enough to worry about with keeping her Katarina safe!.
Talked about this further on discord with you but repeating it here for ease of remembrance lol.
Since Geordo is the Batman-equivalent, clearly he should do what the Batman TAS version does, and adopt cover identities when infiltrating criminal organizations for information. Naturally he should come up with a whole slew of names to give them. Jared, Gerald, Jeord, Gerard, Giord.... (direct quote from @eastofthemoon )
Geordo and Alan’s parents are dead (batman style) and their brothers are off doing their own thing.
Geordo, Nicol, Mary, and Maria all have powers/secret identities/live double lives while Katarina, Sophia, Alan, and Keith are all more or less normies with varying degrees of awareness of the other fours secrets (from Katarina who inadvertanly knows ALLL, to Alan who is immediately aware of jack shit)
Sophia at least knows Nicols secret, while Keith is at least vaguely suspicious. Especially of Geordo.
Do you know how many years I’ve waited for this day? What a journey it’s been, ahh. I love everything about this series and I’m so thrilled for the anime finale. I can’t wait to wear Bakarina again.
