"My name is Cal Kestis, slayer of Oggdo Bogdo: Look on my pink poncho, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Hey, huge fan of your work! I wanted to ask how you are able to pose Merrin in Jedi Survivor with UUEU 4. Every time I try to move her arms, the sleeves of her jacket remain stationary, with her hands being the only thing that moves. Is there something I'm missing?
Hey Prauf! Unfortunately I've never run into that issue before :( Tested Merrin with the pose editor in UUU4.11.3 to see if I could recreate it, but everything seems to be working correctly (sorry)
I double-checked your photos and you did include her in the Pyloon Music Party, very fun, but that rules out my "are you trying to pose her during combat" hypothesis. Her jacket does sometimes disconnect/separate from the rest of the character model when teleporting in and out of fights, but on Koboh that shouldn't be an issue.
You've probably tried these already, but: check different save files, different planets, and different story missions? Maybe create a copy of her model or spawn a new one with mods? I don't know if or how that would make a difference, but more data points could be helpful. UUU is a really cool tool but far from perfect (I can't select/interact with Cere in the Archive at ALL, can you???) and we may have different glitches since we're all using different PC hardware. Idk for sure.
I'll let you know if I ever have posing issues like this with Mer or another character. Hopefully there's a solution!

miss animatedjen, could i humbly ask how you organize your screencaps folders?
"Organize" is a strong term (hah)
It's a messy folder system, mostly sorted by date, but I didn't plan on having 200GB of screencaps when I first started virtual photography. As of last year I've moved everything onto an external SSD exclusively for Star Wars stuff, so now it's all in one place - which is good but also bad, if you have experience with data storage. Some of it is backed up on the cloud and/or a separate archive drive, though I prioritize footage over photos since it's much easier to recreate the latter. That's also why I keep UUU Pose Editor photos in their own folder (the only ones sorted by subject) as they're a lot more time-intensive than in-game photomode shots.
If I don't remember when a photo was created, I'll cross-reference via my blog archive since Tumblr's tagging system is beautiful and can look up specific characters or keywords to see when a photo was posted. Then I work backwards from that date to find the original in my files. Worst case scenario, I rip a photo from my own Twitter or Reddit accounts since they'll be better quality than Tumblr's photo compression.
I also work in video/film production and have been storing digital media for over a decade, so my setup is designed to handle terabytes of data. That's not the norm and definitely not a requirement to be a virtual photographer! You could transfer console photos onto your phone and keep them in a folder in your photos app, or sort them by date/subject in a folder on your computer. If you're running out of space, look into a small hard drive or cloud storage option. Unfortunately prices have gotten stupid lately THANKS Al so keep an eye out for sales.
Idk if this helps? Curious how all of you store your media, because there's probably a better system than mine. The things we do for the hobbies we love <3

It's you! Despite everything, it's still you.

Dark Shadow | Jedi Survivor
Bit of an odd request, but would you happen to have any photos of Cal's eyes? I've heard writers describe them as green and I know that's the canon colour, but it's hard to tell imo. Cameron Monaghan's eyes just look dark-coloured to me lol, at first I genuinely thought they were brown but I think they're really more of a grey-blue? Thank you!!
After reviewing the evidence, my verdict is: Green-ish?
I compared Cal's eye color between FO and SU a while back, if you want a more technical answer that addresses the art direction and lighting choices between the two games. But even just focusing on Survivor, Cal's eyes do look different depending on the environment: warm sunlight or interiors pushes them further towards green, while in cool lighting or shadows they move towards that gray-blue.
Cameron does have a similar eye color, with cooler blue tones on the outer ring of his iris and warmer hazel-brown near the pupil. But Cal's character design isn't a 1-for-1 recreation of Cam, and while there are similarities, a digital eye won't respond to light and color exactly the same way as an IRL one does anyway.
Since they're so reflective and tend to shift with the environment, you could definitely say green, blue-green or even hazel. Cal canonically wears a lot of blue and is often lit by his blue lightsaber, so that also impacts his perceived eye color too. But I'm gonna say green!
