The forms will be open until May 14th, so get your applications in as soon as possible!

If you want to apply for both roles, you must send in different applications for both forms! However, you will only be accepted for one role only.

Is this zine beginner-friendly?

It depends on what you mean by "beginner"!

If you mean as in "first-time in a zine", then yes, we are very accommodating for people who have this zine as their first-time!

If you mean for beginner artists, then we are also open to beginner artists if they can fulfill the criteria as listed in the guidelines! Of course, it will also depend on the number of applications.

Late post, but the forms are now closed! Thank you to all the people that have submitted applications!

Keep an eye out for your inbox on the 28th of May for acceptance/rejection emails!

In the meantime, any questions that have been sent in the forms will soon be answered throughout the week before the emails!

Due to some circumstances, we have decided to extend the Contributor Applications for 1 more week!

So now the deadline will be 11:59 PM GMT on 21st May! The new schedule to reflect this change will be revealed to contributors once the acceptance emails have gone out.

out of curiosity for the samples do they have to be AvA / AvM related ?

They do not! They can be if you'd like, but AvA / AvM-related samples are not mandatory.

For writers, about how long do you expect/require final pieces to be, and how many pieces would each contributor be creating?

We are expecting writers to write a oneshot of min 1.5k words, max 3k. It will be different for any writers that may wish to do a different format, such as poetry, but that will be on a case-by-case basis.

As for the number of pieces, page artists and writers will have to contribute at least one piece! But they are free to take on more pitches if: 1) they have already finished their main piece, and 2) they can finish the additional pieces on time.

Spot artists on the other hand will have to contribute at least 2-3 spot arts, since they are of smaller magnitude than the rest. Of course, they can also take on more than that if they so wish, with the same criteria above applied.

What’s the difference between the writer and artist applications and the contributor application? They sound like the same thing?

Yes they are! Contributor is just a general term to refer to both writers and artists together!

When we say that "contributor apps are open", we mean that "both writer and artist apps are open"!
