TLDR: Chosen has control issues and is probably sociopathic and i luuuuuv hiiiiiim
Anyone trying to comfort Chosen sometime after AvA ends or something, telling him he can be a better person now and grow and help people rather than hurt him and he just turns to them and says "I don't really care about that."
I genuinely don't think he feels guilty about what he's done, any negative feelings he has about it are resentment towards TDL for not giving him what he wants (freedom) and just a discomfort at the idea of not getting that freedom ever (serving time for his crimes perchance)
The ONLY person he would apologize to would be Mitsi i think, because he couldn't stop her in time (He wouldn't have cared otherwise, but he has this need for control that would tick him off and bother him and eat away at him whether he actually cared if she died or not) Plus she'll likely be entangled in the next few chapters of his life depending on how the next episodes go. He does NOT care about redemption seriously
Most people would mistake these feelings of discomfort for guilt too and treat him delicately so they don't trigger him or something and try and help him be a hero but he just doesn't care or talk about it. And this isn't all to say that he doesn't care about anyone. He does, just more so the people who directly effect his life, that he has relationships with. Someone he loved and gained from by them being in his life would not be a burden in the way a random bystander Dark just killed is. It is somewhat different but there's real love there (he's just shit at relationships bc his first one was with dark)
For example he does care about TSC because they fought together and Sec put his life on the line to protect him. Chosen owes him the same friendship and protection that Sec gave him from the start. He's loyal, when it counts.
He cares about Dark for the same reason, but it became more than just an ally thing, that was Chosens first real relationship with anyone. The first thing he ever put effort into. They're attached for life and Cho is uncomfortable letting that go even if he is willing to beat Dark for refusing to do what he says (Again his need for control) but they both clearly seem to think that beating eachothers ass is not the sign of a friendship being over (Dark offering Victim another chance after they fight) the fighting is likely how they have always solved their issues and would have continued if it weren't for the CG showing up to help Chosen fight Dark the first time. They're toxic and horrible but i know for a fact that if Dark lives after AvA is over they're going back to eachother, with or without powers cus like. what else can they do??? Just part ways????? no fucking way
i like to think about his relationship with mitsi a lot i think he would grow some sort of weird attachment to her too. like he wants to prove himself to her. she doesn't really hate him but she's aware that he's like...weird about it you know. she'd try not to feed into that obsession of wanting to appease her while trying to ease his mind about it and i doubt it would work out well at some point she just tells him to see a therapist. idk they could be good friends in my mind. Victim doesn't fucking like him so they go out on friend dates without him knowing and Chosen dotes on her. maybe a little out of character but I don't care i like the pairing.
Sec is the easiest one to keep a relationship with because all it requires is showing up and being nice to his weird little friends. He likes Blue the best because she indulges his bad habits and is round and cute, and very Normal which he wants to be too but he has a hard time getting out of the "You're all below me" mindset that Dark instilled in him but they're Working Through It! Together! I bet he's super uptight when he's not high or drunk or both. yeah. alright I'm done bye
