What's the difference between an attendee volunteer and an AX volunteer? As an AX volunteer can you still participate in events/panels/meetups or are you constantly working?

Attendee volunteers volunteer for 4-8 hours at a time on any day of the event, for a maximum of 16 hours. AX Volunteers are expected to volunteer a minimum of 40 hours and may also require pre-con training and orientation, depending on the department. AX Volunteers can still participate in events/panels/meetups, but must make sure to notify the dept manager to make sure that they are not scheduled to volunteer at the same time as said event/panel/meetup. Departments also differ in terms of allowing cosplay or not (some do, some don’t). AX Volunteers can work no more than 8 hours per day, so you won’t be constantly working. Depending on the department, it’s possible to do 8 pre-con hours, then only 6 hours per day at-con.
