A lot of people have been expressing frustration with not being able to take the kind of screenshots they want, so here is my general method.
We are going to turn this...into that! No shaders or mods required!
My first steps are finding an optimal angle to start with and to adjust the color filter (if desired).
This one ads a lot of warmth to the image and draws out the hues of the sunset!
Let's add some more lighting... Ack! Too much! So let's dial it back. Lighting Type 1 is a softer spotlight than the default Type 3 I initially enabled.
Ok, that looks more balanced, but the picture still lacks contrast. Personally I like to play with points of light. Let's pick up some blue glow from the background!
Let's use Lighting 2 to cast some blue light at his back! We'll position the camera like so before clicking it to place it here, then swivel back to check our placement. Looks good so far!
I am going to repeat this step on the other side to grab some yellow back-lighting to reflect the sky~
Subtle, but it adds a touch of warmth.
I think this is about how I want it, but let's change the angle a bit and add some Saturated Linework to give a slight sense of motion to the piece.
A few last minute adjustments~ I added in the 'Wet Attire' effect here because it felt suitable with all the water in the background, and adjusted the lighting and angle slightly.
