One thing about Evangelion is that it's a really good show actually. This is of course a cold take, it's a popular show obvs., but I reiterate it sometimes because. Like. I try to be pretty openminded when it comes to different readings and interpretations Evangelion, its themes, its characters, etc., but the one opiniom I see every so often that I just can't bring myself to understand is the idea that it's somehow overrated. No, it's just that good. Sometimes things are popular for a reason.
