Just a place to document my weird experiences. THIS IS NOT A ROLEPLAY.

idk if this is a proper intro post or anything i just wanted to make a quick pinned post so anyone coming across this would get the gist of my situation.

you can call me Rue, my pronouns are they/them. i live in a haunted(?) house. i don't know if haunted is really the right word but it's all i got. weird stuff keeps happening here and i just need a place to put it all down.

no one has to believe me, but if you don't, just dni. this is real, this is happening to me, and while i love horror movies and ARGs i don't plan on making anything of my own.

i hear whistling a lot, typically coming from outside but sometimes it happens indoors. sharp, long whistles that are really clear. i'm no expert, but i know better than to acknowledge them. i always pretend nothing's going on, especially when it happens at night.

the first thing i ever noticed in my house was about a year ish ago. there's an old tv mounted on my wall that i never bothered to take down because i'm lazy and didn't feel like it. i don't ever touch it anymore and haven't for a long time. its dusty as hell, so you notice when something changes. i had just walked into the room to lay down and scroll on my phone, and glanced up because i thought i saw a spider. my area gets cellar spiders constantly, so this wouldn't be weird. no spider, but there were two clear handprints in the dust on my old tv. higher than i'd be reaching without noticing, higher than i or any friend of mine had any reason to be reaching.

the handprints appear at random now. i have no idea why they're there or what is making them. the first two looked decently small, but they come in a variety of sizes. anytime i'm not looking at it for too long.
