Secret: I suffer horribly from the sin of despair.
This happened?
Oh snap!
In case you were wondering...
I'm not dead, I'm just in my final month of grad school....
When I was 4, my mother had a massive stroke that partially paralyzed the right side of her body. She still raised my sister and I.
When kids at school made fun of her, I used to knock the snot out of them.
I was never ashamed of my mom, and I'm proud this boy isn't ashamed of his brother.
So.....
Did I ever tell y'all about the time I was 13 and once went to a snake handling church?
“And suddenly, I looked at the bull. He had this innocence that all animals have in their eyes, and he looked at me with this pleading. It was like a cry for justice, deep down inside of me. I describe it as being like a prayer - because if one confesses, it is hoped, that one is forgiven. I felt like the worst shit on earth.” This photo shows the collapse of Torrero Alvaro Munera, as he realized in the middle of the his last fight… the injustice to the animal. From that day forward he became an opponent of bullfights.

Why I love China, IL
Baby Cakes: You know, I bet Heaven's a ghost town.
Pony: Duh, that's kind of the point right?
Baby Cakes: No, I mean no one's good enough to be there. It's just Jesus playin' fetch with Old Yeller.
The rich usually imagine that, if they do not physically rob the poor, they are committing no sin. But the sin of the rich consists in not sharing their wealth with the poor. In fact, the rich person who keeps all his wealth for himself is committing a form of robbery. The reason is that in truth all wealth comes from God, and so belongs to everyone equally. The proof of this is all around us. Look at the succulent fruits which the which the trees and the bushes produce. Look at the fertile soil which yields each year such an abundant harvest. Look at the sweet grapes on the vines, which gives us wine to drink. The rich may claim that they own many fields in which fruits and grain grow; but it is God who causes seeds to sprout and mature. The duty of the rich is to share the harvest of their fields with all who work in them and with all in need.

You know what I'm going to enjoy the most about finishing school in May?
Finally having the time to actually read.
I'm declaring it "Ask Intrusive but Entertaining Questions" Monday, because fuck Mondays
reblog if you want intrusive but entertaining questions in your ask box because it is Monday and you are bored.
go!go!go!
ASK ANYTHING! NOTHING IS SACRED!
Tomorrow is the Sunday of Orthodoxy!
So, don’t forget:
1) to visit an Eastern Orthodox parish
2) to choose an icon of yours and take it with you for the procession!
Tomorrow is the Triumph of Orthodoxy! Glory to God!
I would LOVE to take part in an icon procession! It sounds so awesome...
None of the sisters has ever raised an eyebrow at anything I’ve said or written because they’re not cramped by this false idea that sexuality is something wrong.

Word
And Jesus was a sailor When he walked upon the water And he spent a long time watching From his lonely wooden tower And when he knew for certain Only drowning men could see him He said "All men will be sailors then Until the sea shall free them" But he himself was broken Long before the sky would open Forsaken, almost human He sank beneath your wisdom like a stone And you want to travel with him And you want to travel blind And you think maybe you'll trust him For he's touched your perfect body with his mind.
