Clear your mind here
âSomeday youâre gonna look back on this moment of your life as such a sweet time of grieving. Youâll see that you were in mourning and your heart was broken, but your life was changingâŠâ

You did something for me I couldnât do for myself. You loved me for who I am.

Never push a loyal person to the point where they no longer care.

Just because you have only known pain in your life, doesnât mean that it should be the only thing. You deserve happiness too.

Oh honey. If you could read my mind youâd know that your words could never hurt me as much as my own.

I fell in love with my best friend. Well, he is not my best friend anymore. When people point at someone in a crowd of people, a blurry image of strangers, a blizzard of nostalgia and say: âthat is my ex-best friendâ, is much more hurtful than saying âthat is my ex-boyfriendâ. I sometimes sit down and wonder how did everything go downhill, how I never saw it coming, and how I never actually thought of the possibility of such a tragedy that I am still paying for its consequences. I miss him; it is hard to say goodbye to the only thing that was right in my life. Our friendship was one of a kindâin my mind it still is. I saw him the other day, walking by the liquor aisle. I knew I shouldnât have been there while he was looking at bottles of wine, or how he likes to drink red wine at night just because it used to be his momâs favorite. I stood there watching himânever in a second did I think of his reaction to why I was there in the first placeâI just stood there and studied him. I took in every single detail about him, from his tired eyes to the veins bulging on his knuckles upwards his strong arms, flexing every time he held up a bottle of wine and read it. It was like he was not sure about which wine to get, or even his life choices. Call me a psychological freak that studies body language of her first love but this used to be one of my favourite pastimes.
Tamader Morgan, We Were Never Friends (via wordsnquotes)
We live in an age where we feel guilt whenever we have to cut someone off but the reality is that some relationships do need to die, some people do need to be unfollowed and defriended. We arenât meant to be this tethered to the people in our past. The Internet mandates that we donât burn bridges and keep everyone around like relics but those expectations are unrealistic and unhealthy. Simply put, we donât need to know what everyone else is up to. Weâre allowed to be choosy about who we surround ourselves with online and in real life, even if it might hurt peopleâs feelings.
Ryan OâConnell, You Donât Have To Be Friends With Everybody (via wordsnquotes)
When the people we love stop paying attention, trust begins to slip away and hurt starts seeping in.
Brené Brown (via psych2go)
Two people who were once very close can without blame or grand betrayal become strangers. Perhaps this is the saddest thing in the world.
Warsan Shire (via thelovejournals)
There is magic in long-distance friendships. They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes beyond being physically together and is often more profound.
Diana Cortes (via thelovejournals)
If youâre searching for that one person that will change your life, take a look in the mirror.
