It was the first time she’d finally settled into something that was as monotonous as checking her stream of orders, packing them, go to work, slap away some handsy men, rinse and repeat. Kim found herself basking in the sun with a brew in her hand and attempting to reach a point where she had not a care in the world when truthfully she had too much to care for. One person to care for really, but that had blown up in smoke the second they had crossed paths. Forget it, forget her. The sentiment repeated in her mind over and over again with each sip of beer she took in until she realized her cup was completely depleted. With her furry companion in tow, and being grateful that the beer garden allowed Kim to have Freya by her side, she sauntered over to the bar simply placing the empty 20oz on the counter to demand another. Freya was innocently sniffing around until she made a beeline for the nearest person who must of had something completely undeniable on their person. “Oh shit, Freya no!” She exclaimed as she ran up to catch the dog just in time before disaster was sure to befall the recipient. “Sorry, she gets easily excited and I guess you had the winning ticket for her needs today.” Kim offered with an awkward chuckle, before she looked back down at her dog. Was this a cruel attempt into getting Kim out of her shell? She’d never know.

It’s unlike Anna to spend the brief time she has off work actually amongst people. She isn’t antisocial, per say, but spending all of your time in conversation in strangers means you treasure what little time you have, and it definitely isn’t something she fancies wasting on people you don’t know.
Now, with a dog at her feet, she sort of doesn’t mind being out.
“Hey, dude,” she whistled, immediately kneeling down to scratch under the animal’s chin. Most entertaining interaction she’s had today. As their owner approaches, she raises an eyebrow and looks up, “I have cat treats in my pocket, she probably smelled ‘em. Do dogs give a shit about cat treats?” All the while, she continued petting the pup. “Can dogs have cat treats? It’s just like- salmon flavoured, I think?”
