don't get me wrong, i LOVE shoma and im so happy he's finally a world champion (he deserves it), but his quad flip will be the death of me. it's consisntely pre-rotated and takes off on a full blade and i just wanna shake it out of him lmao.

say aye if you hate isu commentator simon. what a vile man.
yuma's got that 'yuzu 2017 world's' energy going on and i am very much here for it
do i dare say that i think junhwan's sp is one of my favourites this season? the little details are so good!
i can't be the only one who thinks that skate america has the ugliest freaking medals
yuma watching yuzu the whole entire medal ceremony for cues as go what he's supposed to do is KILLING me. my heart omg
yuzu hasn't gotten bronze since 2012 holy shit
but im so so proud of him. man is insane
im very much here for this reoccuring theme this season of top skaters like shoma, zhenya, and alina realizing that placing on the podium/winning isn't everything and focusing more on their growth as skaters. it makes me really happy and i think it's just a much healthier mindset for them
*whispers* those +GOEs were really high, while the -GOEs were really low...
how do samarin and shoma have the same pcs???????????????????
im a little miffed shoma missed the podium by 0.60 points (i love him a lot ok?) im not really surprised as his TES was weaker
that being said, im just so happy? everyone goes through growing pains/off times and that's ok. i think he's really developing himself as a skater and his programs this season are amazing. even though his standings at both of his gp events haven't been his norm, i think he's just shown so much growth.
AND, i know that stephane isn't the technician that shoma needs. but!!! he is so so supportive and seems to have a really good rapport with shoma. i wouldn't be upset if shoma kept him on as a coach, because he seems to be really good for shoma mentally, and we all know he definitely needs that. in the end, what's important is that the skater is happy with their coach and feels like they have someone who they can rely on while being supported/comforted.
idf 2019 is cancelled
yo can we take a moment to talk about how well rowoon played that switch in haru's character? i mean, there's the big thing obviously of how he treats kyung versus how he treats dan oh, but the little details that change, like how he grabs her wrist, were just soooo on point. and when 'old' haru comes back and he talks to her on the crosswalk, there's this new sense of assertiveness that 'old' haru didn't have before. like just let me sit here and applaud how well rowoon acted those changes in his personality
im over this
i dunno man, call me salty, call me a purist, but the fact that (to me) it feels like skating is becoming all about the jumps, is a pill that's a bit hard to swallow.
there's certain skaters (ie. a lot of eteri's kids) who only seem to be in it to win gold by having the highest tech score. meanwhile their performance, transitions, skating skills, etc. aren't great. some skaters were like this, but have recently started to work on their performance (ie. nathan chen).
like don't get me wrong, it's amazing to see women land quads 'cause I agree if the men are able to do it, so can women. but I hate that it's become such a jumpfest. it takes away from the performance and the sport, because all it becomes about is breaking records and winning gold. and while you should aspire to win gold, it shouldn't be by only having jumping passes.
i think there's people who are fantastic jumpers. imo you need more than that...
k, yuzuru was actually like the absolute cutest at the medal ceremony
