“You’re really not going to let this go, will you?”, she asked with a sigh, ice was pressed firmly into the knuckles of her left hand. “I said I was fine and the other person won’t be a bother again, so what does it really matter?”
Annalise let out a resigned sigh, concern creasing her brows as dark eyes flickered once again to the other’s knuckles. She took a seat, mentally battling whether or not she did truly want to let the matter rest. “Never pegged you for a left hook.” She finally said, a hint of forced levity clinging to the edges of her words. Her lower lip was momentarily pulled between her teeth, head tilting slightly. “You’re sure you’re alright?”
