Being back in her hometown was certainly taking some adjustment for Annelise, most of all because she’d moved back in with her parents, at least until she could find a home that she loved. As much as she loved her parents, readjusting to not having her own place was taking her a little longer than she thought it would. What made it a little more stranger, was the fact so many of her old friends had left. Needing a break she’d made her way down to the kitchen, spotting Tiana through the window. Glancing up at the clock, she reasoned her parents wouldn’t be home for another few hours – which meant they wouldn’t be around to raise a brow if Tiana wanted an extra break.
Walking towards the back door, she stepped outside clearing her throat as loud as she can. “Um... Sorry to bother you, I was just about to make something to drink– on a day this warm, I’m sure you could use one to cool down too, if you wanted to come inside and take a break?”
