The island is beautiful, yet strange—all sparkling beaches and lush jungle. Though she's long since grown used to the green trees and non-boiling ocean of Spirale, the feeling strikes her that she is farther from home than ever.

Food and fresh water aren't hard to find. Answers, however, have proven impossible. This place seems to have no artificial structures on it at all, to the dismay of Lilith's history-loving heart. But then, how would the Stars even know about this place, much less be able to send people here...

She's hunting in the woods when she sees a figure that is most decidedly not an animal. Another person? Not to be rude, but they're looking a bit dishevelled—oh Titan that's a child.

"Hello..." She approaches cautiously, not wanting to startle the girl. "Are you alright? You're not out here alone, are you?"

Anne had started to wonder if there was some rewards program she could sign up for to get some benefit out of constantly being whisked off to strange lands. This island may have been absolutely gorgeous to look at, but it quickly became apparent to her that there was an utter lack of civilization. Even landing in the forest outside Wartwood had led to her discovering the town by this point.

Looked like she'd be roughing it once more, only this time she couldn't see a trace of natural shelter she could hole up in. At least the wildlife she'd seen so far was a lot less giant and terrifying than a lot of what she'd had to deal with in that swampy second home of hers. She'd be able to round up some of that once she managed to set up a place to rest.

The task at hand is deferred, however, when a voice suddenly grabs her attention! She quickly turns around to see...nobody she knew, it looks like. The way this woman approaches doesn't seem hostile, at least, and she seems concerned about her well-being. Definitely better than the reactions she was used to upon "first contact."

"Oh, uh, hey! I...was alone, but not anymore I guess. Since you're here!" Whether that was a good thing or bad had yet to be determined for sure, so she'd take it a bit carefully. "And yeah, I'm doing alright. Nothing I can't handle. ...What about you? Did you show up here from the city too?"

➲ "Huh. Usually when someone starts talking to me I get like, the look. You know? That "Wow, I'm talking to a talking animal!" look that humans give." It was hard to be offended. Humans were just as weird to Tangle as she was to them. Heck, the only one she knew of was Eggman and he was evil.

But this human was talking to her normally. No weird looks, no walking on eggshells. It was just a normal conversation. "You used to seeing non-humans then? Not really a vibe I get from a lot of people around here!"

“Huh. You know, I never really thought about that look being a thing, but I can totally imagine it now.” Thinking back, Anne probably gave that look the first time she met one of the Wartwood locals. Turns out the whole “talking frogs” thing was just about the easiest thing to get used to in Amphibia. Everything else…not so much.

“Yeah! This isn’t the first time I’ve wound up in a world that isn’t my own. First time around I opened up this weird music box that warped me and my friends to a wild world of talking frogs, newts, and toads!” She kind of wondered if the same sort of thing could’ve happened to one of the talking animal folk like this lemur girl, though she imagined they’d need some kind of strong magic like the Calamity Box to make that happen. “What about you? Any humans you run into before you wound up here?”

FRAGMEMORIA INFO- Anne Boonchuy

What memory could Anne have lost that would be the most heartbreaking, cause the most dramatic change in who she is? Well, that’s a pretty obvious one.

The Plantars: Sprig, Polly, and Hopidiah “Hop-Pop” Plantar. Anne wouldn’t have grown nearly as much as she did in Amphibia without this froggy family. The lessons they imparted onto her helped her mature as a person and come to care for herself and others in a way she couldn’t before.

Now, she of course remembers being trapped in Amphibia, but huge chunks of those memories are darkened, blurred out. It wasn’t horrible, but she can’t really hold onto the changes she made in herself if she doesn’t remember those who inspired her to make those changes. She’ll be significantly more like she was when she entered Amphibia- more selfish, dismissive, a poor influence on those younger than her…you know, a typical teenager.

Like this post for an event starter! Capping at 3, with castmates and previous interactions exempt. Part 2 call will come after a couple of these have been finished.

"...Yeah, we're not doing this. There's a limit to the stuff a gal can take, and this? This is that limit. Quit the murder prank talk."

"Ugh, really hoping they'll be able to clear out these mists soon. I'm kinda tired of this city being even more mixed up than usual..." Anne had initially taken every measure she could to stop from wandering into the mists, but soon learned she'd need to face them head-on if she wanted to keep hitting up her favorite coffee shops. (Rain, shine, snow, reality-warping vapors...nothing kept those places shut down it seemed) At the very least she wanted to go around with someone else whenever possible, just in case she stumbled upon something she couldn't handle alone. She wasn't sure of her pal Donald's combat abilities, but he was at least willing to go places with her! Having someone to protect if she had to would probably bring out the best in her abilities anyway, if it came to that.

Of course, it had yet to come to that. All it had come to was having to trek through some scorching desert, then a barren frozen wasteland, and now a humid, swampy forest. The mists would throw any manner of weird world at them to slow them down, it seemed. "Really makes you wonder what sort of messed-up script-flipping "event" they'll throw at us next, huh?" she snarked, looking to her feathered friend with a wry smile. "The Stars sure do know how to make you feel at-"

The sarcastic remark trailed off as her eyes came up to look behind him, then around, her pace slowing slightly. "...Wait, I...I know these woods..." Looking off to the right of where they stood, Anne began to walk...then hurried up into a light- then more intense- jogging pace. The end of the path would come out to a wide open swamp, upon which there was built a small town, houses and stores wearing the trappings of medieval architecture. There was a larger building near the center- town hall, perhaps- a more ornate building with a sign reading "Stumpy's" on the front, a small rolling section upon which a house was built into a tree...out in the skyline, an occasional insect could be seen flying, much MUCH too easy to make out given how far away they should have been. Anne was frozen where she stood, her eyes starting to shimmer and prick up with tears.

"It's Wartwood...the city brought us to Amphibia...!"

MISTIFIED STARTER CALL & INFO- Anne Boonchuy

Man, there's SO much in Amphibia(the show, not the world- but also the world)that we could explore with this event. Unfortunately cause I'm a dumdum there's only a few days to get the starters from this uncapped event starter call out there, so we'll have to pick and choose. Let's have some fun tho! Info on Anne's data imprints is below. Beware of spoilers, go watch Amphibia.

The 13th birthday: A day many kids dream about!  Come witness everything that went down with Anne’s first steps into teenagedom…steps that would bring her stumbling into a world she could’ve never imagined…

Wartwood: This one might be more of a locale-based memory; little flashbacks occurring at different places in town where they happened, but overall it’s just nice for a tour!

Battle at Toad Tower: An old friend threatens a new family. Years of a complicated childhood come to a head in a dramatic standoff for the fate of the innocent. Whatever the result was to be, things would surely never be the same again…

Confrontation at the Castle: What was to be the end of a long, hard journey became a cavalcade of emotions and explosive tension. Friendships were betrayed. Revelations were made. True colors were revealed. 

SENTIENT DATA IMPRINTS:

The Plantars: The froggy family Anne stayed with while she was in Amphibia! There’s the energetic and adventurous Sprig, the rowdy and handy Polly, and the dramatic and old-fashioned Hop-Pop. They came to see Anne as their own in a pretty short time, and they’re sure to be just as hospitable to you as they were to them! May come individually or all together. Not hostile…though Polly can be kind of bloodthirsty.

Sasha: One of Anne’s two childhood friends. A girl used to having control of her situations, able to sweet-talk her way to the top and fight tooth-and-nail if that doesn’t work. She wound up in Amphibia with the toads and became a high-ranking commander in the army, fueling her drive to take further control. Luckily she’s only recently begun to realize just how lonely it can be losing friends on her way to the top. Her ire is still easy to draw, though. Potentially hostile.

Marcy: Anne’s other childhood friend. An incredibly intelligent girl and self-identified nerd, she approaches every unusual situation with intrigue and enthusiasm…enthusiasm that’s sure to lead to her getting into some kind of accident due to her overwhelming clumsiness. Winding up with the newts in Amphibia did her wonders, becoming an advisor to the king and Chief Ranger in the Newtopian Knight Guard. Hopefully she doesn’t get too wrapped up in her own head andmake any incredibly selfish decisions. Not hostile. 

King Andrias: The monarch who has ruled Amphibia for centuries. Though he wears an amicable face before all his subjects, he seeks to carry out his predecessors’ legacy of conquest, both of his own world and all others. The only thing standing in his way is a certain 13-year-old Thai-American girl and her friends… Hostile.

"Well, I've got my phone. Besides that...is there an arcade around? I'm more used to going with my friends, but it'd probably be fun anyway."

Yeah, "crazy" was right. The more this lady went on, the less Anne was convinced that she'd had wrong done unto her, at least to the extent she seemed to believe it had been. Clearly some context was missing, but the girl figured she had enough to put two and two together.

“Maybe the stuff you were put through was a lot for a kid to set up. But if they were traps laid in her house, the only way you could’ve set them off was if you were trying to get in without her permission. Sounds to me like she was right to set up all that stuff, and you’re just mad you fell into it.”

"Of course I was trying to get in without her permission," Lilith waves her hand dismissively. "It's not like she would have let me in if I'd knocked on the front door."

Hm. That's not great for keeping a low profile... and if she wants to get any credibility in this place...

Lying it is!

"I'm an old friend of her father's," Lilith sighs. Not technically a lie. "I wanted to check up on the kid, but she's not very friendly... or trusting for that matter."

Okay, this lady could've been a ribbon dancer with all the red flags she was waving around at this point. The attitude she took on after being so cavalier about breaking and entering smacked of backpedaling to Anne, and some of the word choices she made spoke a lot louder than everything else she'd just said.

"Yeah, you sound real concerned for the little demon. Don't know that you're doing your friendship with her dad any favors by talking about his kid like that." It was around then that Anne realized she had no idea what sort of world or time period this lady was from. If- MASSIVE if- she was telling the truth, she could at least give her some tips on not seeming like she wanted to kill this kid at least a little bit. "Look. If this girl doesn't want to see you, you can still try and check in on her without resorting to home invasion." Anne pulled out the phone she'd been given upon arriving in the city. "Just look her up on your phone and call her, or leave a voice mail if she doesn't pick up. Heck, just text her- that'll guarantee it at least arrives for her." That is if she didn't block her number, but that was neither here nor there. "If she still doesn't want to talk, you shouldn't force it. Kids don't react well to being cornered. Let her open up on her own terms."

And here she is, getting laughed at by another child.

“I’ll be fine. My injuries heal quickly.” Benefits of being a lich. “When I get my hands on that child, however, I’m going to toss her out a window.”

Turn her into a bird? Did this lady have magic? It was definitely possible- she couldn’t quite see her ears to tell if she was from the Demon World like the witches she knew around here, but being aware of their magic was enough for her to not be surprised by what she said...at least not about magic.

“Ooookay, maybe pump the brakes a little bit? Toy cars and paint cans doesn’t sound sadistic to me, and if whoever did this was just an actual kid I don’t think it’s worth getting so intense over.”

"I'm going to kill that kid." She's covered in feathers, she lost a shoe somewhere, she's got burns on her hands... all she'd been trying to do is sneak in!

"She's dead when I get my hands on her!"

“Heheheheh.” Anne had no idea who this lady was, nor what led to her state, but from the looks of things she’d gotten pranked pretty badly. She was no trickster herself, but she did enjoy some shenanigans every now and then.

“It could be worse, you know? I mean I got turned into a whole bird once, and I had to walk around a swampy frog world with one shoe for months! The burns might suck for a bit, though...I might have some aloe vera if you want?”
