Antonia was afraid of becoming a mother. That word had a negative meaning, the hurtful memory of that woman who abandoned her. What if she ended up being just like her? Because of not knowing what it meant to be? It all seemed uncertain. 

But there was something that differenced Antonia from her. The love for her son was bigger than her fear, giving her the courage of becoming a mother. So that, this time, he would have one.

Hi! I'm kinda new here what are your ocs? (Love your art)

Ahh thanks! ;w; My OC’s are the combination of the 6 current stories I try to develop. It’s a rare mix of anthropomorfic/feral animals and humans. LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT MOST OF THEM:

- El Gato Martin : a tabby cat who does cool stuff with his friends and has very bad luck sometimes, your typical saturday morning cartoon without much content.

- Pequi-Aventuras: Its about Pequi and Pablo, a dog and a cat who are bros and have adventures like weird experiments and crazy situations. Pequi loves his little bro Pablo so much despite him getting in his nerves. CONSTANTLY. Pablo admires his big bro who adopted him. <3 First OC’s and they’re still here waiting to become something big!!

- Cupri et Aurum: it was an old webcomic (on indefinite hiatus) about Cupri, an anthro chinchilla with copper arms, who looks like a grown adult but actually she’s a little girl looking for mommy. She has to learn to live as an adult, despite she can’t even process that she grew AT ALL after waking up from a comma. Please protecc, she needs a mommy.

- La jueza: Its a gag webcomic about Maya, a 78 year old immortal sphynx cat who judges the dead and she decides if they go to heaven or hell. She hates people, 100% pro-animal, will hate you probably if you hurt an animal once. Still she is not very fair and does a lot of ilegal stuff on her job (like sleeping with male co-workers and frying popcorn in hell’s flames), but that’s the humor. 

- Cylan y sus manos mágicas: its my short movie series about Cylan, a gerbil alien who can cure anything with his magic hands and Ciboulette, a red panda who uses a wheelchair. He helps her until she is ready to fight on the wonderful world of walking and they have a very wholesome friendship. <3

- Fidelidad: It’s my novel in progress about the Saavedra’s, a spanish family who has to overcome the havocs of death and sadness on its members through 3 generations. Ya know, everyone has a trauma on death or sadness or abandonment issues. Meet Matias, Minerva, Alberto, Teresita, Roberto, Antonia, Humberto, Eliana and Raimundo. It’s my only human cast, I’m quite proud of them and they literally changed my outlook on life. Also there’s 4 OTPs and I breathe for them.

Other OC’s without an universe include Irbina, which is a crazy technicolor puma who only wants a best friend to marry them and have kids together but MARRYING AS FRIENDS. CAUSE YOU CAN’T HAVE 2 BEST FRIENDS AND YOU SHOULD LOOK AT HER JEALOUS ASS ONLY. If you have low self esteem you should consider hooking up with her.

And Sergio. One flat hideous creature with a big intimidating eye. No one knows were it came from, but some like to think it’s a 50′s dude with a creepy obsession with hot chocolate. In reality it’s an alien planning to eat the entire production of hot chocolate to reproduce itself on earth. And that is not good. KILL IT BEFORE IT LAYS EGGS.

There are more more oc’s inside of each story but I’m lazy to talk about them now so WHADDYA THINK :3c

THE OTP SHINES <3333333

Hola! He estado creando varios personajes y a la hora de hacerlo me preocupa repetir sus personalidades o que varios tengan los mismos rasgos característicos. Debido a la gran cantidad de personajes que tienes, me preguntaba si presentaste el mismo problema, y si es así ¿cómo lo resolviste?

Pregunta interesante. En mi caso…lo que más se me ha repetido son arquetipos, dinámicas y conflictos. En sí, como autor existen patrones que te interesan tanto que vas a acabar repitiendo (como una marca de agua o un leitmotiv), pero esto tiene un modo de trabajarse.

Te pondré mi ejemplo más extremo. Pequi y Pablo, vs Matías y Alberto. Ambos son hermanos adoptivos. El menor es problemático, hiperactivo y siente mucha admiración hacia el mayor. El mayor es nervioso, se estresa con las locuras del menor y sabe que debe ser responsable para cuidarlo. En dinámica y personalidad, son básicamente lo mismo. ¿La diferencia? Aparte que un par son un perro y un gato y los otros son humanos, es la profundidad, desarrollo de personaje, contexto y enfoque de la historia. 

Puesto que Pequi y Pablo es una simple caricatura de comedia, sus conflictos sirven especialmente para el humor. No hay un trasfondo demasiado profundo excepto que Pequi quería un hermano para jugar, por eso adoptó al bebé Pablo. Y Pablo, siendo huérfano pues…¡Es Pablo! No lo hagas cuestionarse las cosas tan pequeño. XD Dos simples personajes que cumplen bien su propósito de ser caricaturas. 

Con Matías y Alberto, ya que su historia es más seria, sus personajes tienen un desarrollo diferente y conflictos más profundos.

Matías es un joven de 16, huérfano, esperando salir de la pobreza y soledad. Rebosante de amabilidad con las personas y en disposición a ayudarlas, salva la vida de Alberto, por lo que éste siente un profundo agradecimiento. Por su lado, siendo un niño de gran espíritu que ha pasado toda su vida recluso de su castillo, nunca ha tenido amigos y, sabiendo lo que le aqueja al joven Matías, decide ayudarlo para darle una vida mejor: ser mayordomo. Matías se integra a una nueva familia ayudándolos a ellos y Alberto consigue un amigo, al cual llama hermano dada la cercanía que sostienen. 

A medida se hacen mayores, su dinámica madura de ser similar a Pequi y Pablo a ser una fuerte amistad repleta de confianza y ayuda mutua en la crianza de su familia. Es mucho más que jugar o enojarse porque mi hermano hace tonterías, pues ahora hablamos de hombres cuya mayor preocupación es dejar un legado y vivir el día a día lo mejor posible, no de niños que van al colegio y lidian con problemas de su edad.

No solo difieren en complejidad, si no el qué transmite cada uno. Cuando inventé a Pequi y Pablo, era mi deseo de tener un hermanito menor y toda la diversión (ydoloresdecabeza) que yo me imaginaba que era tenerlo. Fidelidad en cambio, es una historia que me encuentro escribiendo para contar algo más significativo para mí. Como llega una persona de la nada a cambiar tu vida con un pequeño gesto y una gran amistad incondicional nace, al punto que lo consideras parte de tu familia. Y sabes que si pasa algo contigo, esa persona estará ahí, siempre fiel a ti. 

Dos hermandades, diferentes desarrollos. Si sientes que repetiste algún rasgo con un personaje que ya hiciste con otro, es completamente normal. Lo único que puede hacerlo diferente del anterior será el cómo lo desarrolles y el enfoque que le des a dicho personaje. Espero te haya servido <3

Does Minerva (or Mati) regrets not having kids???

Minerva doesn’t really care, since she has never planned to be a mother. Despite this, she is caring towards the children she gets to see grow on the family and shows them her way of lovin~ She loves Raimundo like he was her baby, because it’s her best friend’s baby. SO YEAAAH good for her being second mom! <3

Mati was constantly pushed by Alberto to be a father before it was too late, but he always said that Alberto’s family is already his family and he doesn’t need anything else to be happy.

But he’d love to be a father of his own too, just to see if things were just as wonderful as how Alberto told him they were. There is a small part of this man that regrets not doing such thing, but as he said, he is happy with what he has. <3
