우리가 사랑을 너무

개인적 차원으로 생각하는 데 문제가 있다.

사람들은 흔히 사랑과 정의가 상충하는 것으로

생각한다. 사랑은 따뜻하고 정의는 차갑다고 생각하며,

사랑은 용서하고 감싸주는 것이라 여기고 정의는

투쟁적이라고 생각하기 쉽다. 하지만 정의란

다수를 위한 사랑이다. 오히려 진짜 사랑,

왼손이 하는 일을 오른손이 모르게 하는

순수한 사랑이다. 받는 자를 비굴하게

하지 않는 건강한 사랑일 수

있기 때문이다.

그러나 한 사람을 깊이 사랑하면 다수를 사랑할 수

있는 힘이 생겨납니다. 한 사람을 사랑하면서 겪은

오묘하면서도 아프고 슬픈 경험들이 개인적 사랑의

차원을 넘어 사회적 정의를 구현하는 원동력이 될 수

있습니다. 사랑은 실천입니다. 조용히, 드러내지 않고,

상대의 자존감을 높여주는 순수한 사랑의 실천이

우리 사회를 건강하게 만듭니다.
