How Much I Love Uber (not ads, I guarantee)

Yeah, seriously how much I love Uber, not even funny. Even I adore Uber and start thinking to leave ordinary blue taxy that already old style and left behind. I think I am in love already for the very first time with this real time based on location riding service apps ever since the first time I knew about it. Of course, it charge exactly same with common taxy with Rp 7.000 / km and Rp 500 / minute. In average it all charge Rp 30.000 from my home in Cipete to my office in Pondok Indah Tower. Worth it, right ? 

That's not all. Imagine paying that much for such luxurious affordable car or they called it 'black car' on apps. I often get Camry or sometime with Toyota Innova or Rush. However, the greatest part of it that I don't feel like taking public transport with (sometimes) sweaty bad smell driver and not that polite, in opposite, I am feeling like it's my own private car (yeah, as its tagline). Uber has well behaved driver with great attitude that always make me comfortable.

And it all proved it until one day I almost lost my treasure, my real treasure, yeah my wallet. I screw up in the Thursday morning when I recently realised that I could not find my wallet inside my bag. Horrible. I almost cry aloud but try to calm down and think about what happened last night. So I put my wallet on luxurious seat, yeah, too tired, forgot to put it in bag after going to ATM. Then I told my boyfriend to call the driver whether the wallet was safe or not in Uber. That's another amazing part of Uber that we contact directly the driver without annoying long line call centre that such a time waster.

Thank God, I don't have to wait so long, less than 1 hour and everything was fine ! Exactly, Uber saved my wallet. And nothing lost. Incredible. It was very secure and no doubt that everyone has good manner. Damn, I love Uber more. It is not about how much money inside my wallet, in fact, there are only Rp 10.000 inside (and yeah STILL inside). I just don't wanna waste time on renew those whole identity cards, I hate that process with such gigantic complicated bureacrazy administrative process.

Finally, the driver drop my wallet to my place. Seems like I wanna hug that driver. He kept my wallet and anything left on the car in safe place. Even he told me that he should start working early once knew that my wallet lost. He got used to leave for work at 2pm and on that day leave about 10am. OMG. I couldnt say more. I recommend everyone on this planet to take Uber as your riding preference. Uber has everything you are looking : safe time -cost and obviously secure system.

Dont Work Too Hard (Seriously)

Saturday has become sad-day this week for me due one of my friend has just passed away this morning. I havent met her for long time because we got occupied. She studied and worked too hard as dentistry student. She was about to celebrate her graduation but unexpected thing just happened, she had lupus.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal, healthy tissue. This results in symptoms such as inflammation, swelling, and damage to joints, skin, kidneys, blood, the heart, and lungs. 

Certain environmental factors have been known to cause lupus symptoms. These include:

Extreme stress

Exposure to ultraviolet light, usually from sunlight

Smoking

I just realized that she had been working too hard even under pressure without even caring of her immune system. The current tight competition has pushed us to work harder. Please young people, keep life balance and work smarter.

Why You Shouldnt Give Ipad To Your Kids

As one of the most successful technopreneur, we may think that Steve Job's home is like tech heaven with bunch of apple devices surrounding the kids. Oops. we are completely wrong. Meanwhile, Jobs do not allow gadget consumption for children, instead reading physical books and talking in dinner table. 

Nowadays, most parents seem to take the opposite approach, letting their children bathe in the glow of tablets, smartphones, day and night. Do limit technology use at home for kids. Giving tablets or other devices are not actually that bad idea but it might lead overconsumption and become addicted. Kids usually use ipad only for games not into programming stuff or other advantage stuff. Once they rely on games, they keep doing it.

Dont let kids touch gadget is not really good idea at all. When they grow up, it will cause later. We'd better give them computer than smart phone or ipad in order to teach them technology including programming, youtube, graphic designer and anything else except for games.

6. Kebingungan Sering mengalami kebingungan ? Jangan heran akan terkena gangguan tulang belakang bagian bawah.

7. Takut Jika membiarkan diri merasa takut berlebihan maka kita akan mudah terkena penyakit ginjal. 8. Negative Thinking Bila suka negative thinking akan terkena dyspepsia atau penyakit sulit mencerna.

9. Anggap sepele Jangan menganggap sepele akan menyebabkan diabetes.

Life Lesson from a Taxy Driver

Does your job create real value ? The job value is not determined by what an employee does within a company but what an employee does within her / him self. It's all about mindset. 

If you think about being taxy driver, you might consider it as boring and stagnant job, just passing same road over and over again and getting stuck on traffic. Let's see on the bright side. What if you think that actually this job has greets value ever than another job in the world. Being taxy driver is about serving and caring people. Taxy drivers drop people with illness to hospital and accompany working guy to the office (we might say, earning salary for family). However, taxy driver is a hero. See, it's all about mindset.

I am not a part of Uber promotion or sales team, believe me, it's my truly great sharing experience using Uber for the last one month and now I have been one of loyal customer ever. I adore Uber that already replace taking usual taxy as well.  

In my opinion, Uber has redefined people riding experience specially in those big cities. I am no longer stuck in long queue line waiting taxy and get worried with the security. No need to queue, just press the button on mobile apps that will detect the nearest driver location and come straight away less than 10 minutes. I can also know driver's name, photo and licence plate. The added value using Uber, I take high class car (with same rate) which is awesome ! I get luxurious friendly secure riding experience. Hwahaaa.... 

So here the cars that I used already during these week. People probably think I own these cars (which is very excitement looking people starring while waiting for taxy and I just go get to "my own private drive").

Penthouse North

Semalam baru saja menonton Penthouse North, yang dibintangi oleh Michelle Monaghan dan Michael Keaton, menceritakan tentang Sara, seorang jurnalisfoto yang menjadi buta akibat bom di Afganistan dan di tinggal di sebuah apartemen mewah bersama kekasihnya, Ryan, di New York. Ketika Sara pulang ternyata Ryan telah dan pembunuhnya masih berada di dalam apartemen. Sara baru menyadari bahwa Ryan telah meninggal dibunuh ketika tergelincir darahnya kemudian sang pembunuh memaksa Sara mengatakan dimana Ryan menyembunyikan berlian curiannya. Sara tidak mengetahui tetapi para pembunuh tidak mempercayainya dan menyiksanya hingga mengaku. Perjuangan Sara melarikan diri dan melawan penjahat meski pun tidak dapat melihat. Kemudian salah satu penjahat menemukan berlian di dalam es batu dan menjadi senjata makan tuan di antara mereka berdua saling membunuh berebut berlian hingga mereka mati. Pesan moral : jangan terlalu serakah. Harta tidak dibawa mati kok. 

Last night I just watched Penthouse North starring Michelle Monaghan and Michael Keaton that tells about Sara, a photojournalist who became blind due bomb explosion in Afghanistan and living in a penthouse New York with his boyfriend, Ryan. When Sara came back home Ryan had been murdered and the murder was still in apartment. Sara just realized when she slipped over by his blood and the murder forced her to tell where Ryan had hidden the diamonds. Sara didn't know at all but the murder couldn't believe her and tortured her body to confess. Sara had struggled to run away and fight them back even in darkness view. And then one of the murders found the diamonds on ice block and killed each other until both died. Moral advice : don't be greedy. We don't bring diamonds in the hereafter.    

La nuit dernière je regarde Penthouse North avec les stars Michelle Monaghan et Michael Keaton qui raconte une vie de Sara, une photojournalist devient aveugle cause de l'explosion à Afghanistan and habite avec son copain à New York. Quand Sara retourne à l'appartement, Ryan a été tué and l'assassin reste en appartement. Sara se rend en compte quand elle a tombé sur le sang et l'assassin la force pour dire où le diamant mais Sara ne sait pas, l'assassin ne le croit pas et fait la torture pour dire. Elle se combat pour échapper dans la vue noire. Et un de l'assassin a trouvé le diamant dans la glace dans le réfrigérateur enfin, l'assassins se tue. Message moral : ne sois pas avère. On ne porte pas le diamant au monde éternel.

Garfield Goes to Vet

Today I came to Vet located in Harsono RM street number 28, near of Ragunan Zoo. It was my first time ever coming and carrying my cat here. I never had serious medical issue with Garfield either Leo before for more than 4 years. Fortunately, they are doing great so far. Yes, until I realized that there must be something wrong happened with Garfield and decided to carry her for the very first time to the vet. It was totally frightful experience for her being in cage. She couldn't stop screaming and crying in car. I was worried that she would claw the vet and run anywhere. Thank God that she was very calm and nice during the vet treatment. So, Garfield had scabies (such a bad mark, she never had it before, must be infected by other wild cat outside) and must get injection. All was well. Yes, almost until in cashier (the most frightening moment when receive the note) the price for whole process (including registration, injection, consultation) cost Rp 145.000. Basically, the injection itself is only Rp 25.000 but consultation charge Rp 100.000 and it was less than 15 minutes. Lol. I wish I were dentist, actually, it was my first dream job when I was little.   

Here the largest Animal Hospital in Jakarta located in Ragunan.

SIlent Days

Here I go during 'silent days' without talking and I feel totally sad. I never imagined before that I am not able to talk due this sore throat. It is completely annoying and disturbing my daily activity as sales marketing person which require me to meet and talk with a lot of people. 

I am supposed to go out and to do some stuff today but my parents just won't let me go and prefer me to stay at home and not talking too much until I recover my body. I am feeling suck actually. But I don't wanna make it worse and must get well very soon. I almost get scared when mom scared me by telling that her friend's daughter recently lost her voice because keep talking too much while getting bad sore throat like this one. Well, as a good daughter, I simply obey her and just stay at home. I am afraid what if someday I really lose my precious voice and won't be able to talk anymore? I asked my boyfriend what if those things happened would you still love me, and he said for sure nothing gonna changed, yes, I know how lovely he is.

However, having this sore throat realised me that how grateful I should be with those ability I have. Sometimes we just realised tiny thing until it is really gone. I am normal and feeling blessed of it. I can't imagine how my life will be if I was deaf. I can't talk with people, have presentation, sell the business, be tour guide and anything required talking with people. Even just today I am feeling bad and sad thinking how such a wasting time. But hell no, there is always back up plan. 

So I changed my whole plan today and consider what useful things that I am able to do at home. Staying at home might be not such a bad idea at all, it might be something priceless that it means spending time more together with parents, and having more time for online learning (Coursera my best one). 

I decide to learn a bit of sign language that sparked my interest. Who knows that it might be useful someday. I just know that every country has its own sign language but it has universal language. I give one of the most common sign language : American and British Sign Language. 

This one is very interesting : relationship sign language. 

Learning sign language reminds me of presidential election debate on tv these days that show a person with sign language on the left side. During the debate, I am more interested in watching and learning sign language instead of the debate itself.

Modern Slave

Do you work 9-5 job very hard just to keep expensive lifestyle ? Are Credit Card bill payments your constant worry?  Have you ever thought that you are actually living in a circle as a modern slave in a modern city ?

In a thousand years ago, we might be a hands-in-chain-slave to work hell hard and get food in return (although just few). We just can't escape but it is not because no way out but more likely we already like the way it is. No need to find food in a jungle. No need to struggle. Already have comfortable zone.    

Think about it. We are basically free-independent human living in a nature that already provide with unlimited rich resources. All we need to do just take off those chains, go out, and chase the animals or cultivate for daily life. 

Same things happen but in modern way nowadays. As you work every single day and just wait until the end of month to get paid and then pay off all your credit card payment in term of buying a car ? a home ? As a corporate guy, you are obviously under control. It might look like you are free but not really. You are living in prison. Unfortunately that you enjoy it. You enjoy to get food, get served, at least get secured of life to settle down. But your payments are chasing already. And no way to run.

Here it is. Most people are (sadly) proud of it. Once you realized about it, all you need to do just break those chains, go outside and grab opportunities.  Go get your freedom. The choice is on your hand.

Last week, we just had a marvellous trip in Thousand Island : Harapan, Perak, Pasir and Macan. Bunch of fun : fish, beautiful view, beach, sunset, boat, coral. Yes, still can't move on from the meaningful exploration. Oh yes, I saw Nemo, yes, the real Nemo fish or best known as clown fish, in deep ocean, thanks to Mark who came from HK just for us, lol !

Ghost Writer, What Do You Think ?

As I wrote down a ghost writer, it is not a writer of fiction book. In other way,  it refers to a writer who writes books or articles or other texts that are officially credited to another person. Ghostwriter is usually best known as ghosting. This term basically just comes across my mind once I heard that a person that I admired not really write his own published books. I got disappointed actually. But as I figure it out that this kind of job is in existence already and becomes popular as well among hectic prominent people. In my point of view, I can not agree for this job. Why should you push someone else to publish something that not really belongs to you ?
