Her: Why do you write, love?
Me: Well, you know about the depression and anxiety and such. So I feel like when I write, I take back control that I lack in this life. I love writing poetry. And short stories, almost anything. It’s therapeutic, it brings a sense of calmness when I can put words to something. It makes it seem less scary.
I am a writer.
There are no jobs that readily allow me to do what I love. I don’t want a dead end job. I want to write.
I’m a tremor in the heartbeat of life.

The moment when you can’t do anything but give up?
Because you have nothing else.
